Are there uplay rewards now? This pic makes it look that way but when I go to my uplay account it still says 0/0 actions and rewards. Edit: this game just keeps getting better. They update it and somehow I go from being ranked 800 something to almost 17,000 in one day...pretty cool.
There are no UPlay rewards as of now. But you can access that menu by tapping the pod on the lower part of the screen You can unlock a jump suit for your Fusion and Frontier rider if you complete those 3 challenges Apparently many users were not able to rank in the leaderboards, this update fixes that. So be prepared for many more riders on the leaderboards
That makes sense. The top scores are way higher than I remember them being just a few days ago. I don't like this update. I just dropped another 2000 in rank. I want my false sense of superiority back.
Hahaha. Keep practicing man. Keep setting goals for yourself. The grind becomes absolutely unreasonable later in the game. 5 'parts gathering quests', and the last is 3 tier 5 parts. 1 tier 5 part = 81 tier 1 parts.
Well, you'll be happy to know that there's another quest right after for three more tier 5 parts. This is the worst free to play model on the iOS hands down. I've played hundreds of games on the App Store, and never ran into not only extremely extensive grinding, but also grinding based on the luck of spinning a wheel.
I know it's infuriating. If it were any other game I would have quit long ago but I've been a Trials fan for a long time. It's too bad they took advantage of their fan base.
I understand all the hate on the long timers and such but I am happy to have played it as long as I did. I mean if I get all kinds of hours out of a game and then the freemium stuff kicks in that's ok because I already enjoyed my time know what I mean?
Normally I would agree but this is a franchise that has been around for awhile. It has a pretty big fanbase and is all about "trial" and error. You're supposed to be able to race the tracks over and over and over and over and over until you perfect them.
For me it's more disappointment than hate. I agree it's not as if anyone got ripped off. You can download it for free and get a few hours of fun from it, and that's plenty of time to see what it is and decide if it's worth spending more time or money on. For me the answer is no. That's just especially disappointing to me because the tracks and physics are good enough that it could potentially have been a very nice mobile version of Trials, but for me at least they've squandered that potential.
I too have gotten many hours of enjoyment for free. My biggest issue with the game (and what's keeping me from playing, besides Hearthstone) is the constant crashes on my iPad Air. I was hoping the update last week would fix it, but alas.
The game looks fantastic too, love the feel and game play... just not enjoying the wheel of luck! Still keeping me coming back once a day...
So much this. Another downside to F2P is that we have people who are unhappy because they're blocked by energy and wheels of fortune that can screw you eternally from grinding that level 5 gear you need(oh my god please make this stop) and just want to play the game the way a game should be played. Then you have the free players who only play for a certain amount of hours til the paywall and then just delete the game anyways. This game, which I still play, was one of the bigger shames to come from F2P environment, and a shining example of what not to do to such a great concept/franchise.
So far I'm playing fine without any connection issues but I only play it with wi-fi because I turn cellular off for all of the games. There have been various complaints with the new update. The new slot machine challenges are a little bit more difficult, especially at the later levels. I've never had to quit a slot machine challenge and wait for the refresh until last night. The ghost races are also more difficult now because the ghost gets in the way of your own character making close races harder to navigate. But I'm mostly disappointed in hearing that so many of the new 11 maps have to be unlocked purely through luck with either the wheel of fortune(the worst mechanic in this game hands down) or the slot machine. Shame.
