I freaking love this game! Well done guys! Permadeath is what gives it that extra edge knowing once you die, you're dead. Fantastic game and good replay value as well. I hope it's a success and that you have plans for more ahead!

Just finished another run... #2 on the leaderboard, woo! Barely made it though, only had 1 armor and 1 shotgun shell left at the end.

Managed to scavenge 400+ shotgun shells off some guy... and found a bunker and a safe house. Looking forward to seeing the UFO!

I enjoyed the game from the start but I must say it's getting even better once you start to get the hang of it. If you're having difficulties surviving, I'll share some of the tactics I've been using:

    1) Always make sure you have full armor whenever you enter a zone. It's easy to screw up sometimes and lose 2, 3, or even 4 armor, so make sure you're always in good health.

    2) When facing a horde, especially a larger one (45+), see to it that you have some flares and flashbangs ready. They really come in handy under those circumstances. I usually throw a flare and just start firing like a maniac at the walkers that gather around it, though you can also use them to stall one group of walkers while you take care of another.

    3) Be patient. While the survival mode may be more fun than the arena, it might be a good idea to play the arena a couple of times if you're running low on ammo or parts needed for armor. Scavenging has helped me enormously on several occasions.

    4) Make your bullets count, and more importantly, save them for when you really need them. (You will need them!) If you're only dealing with 1-5 walkers, use your melee weapon (preferably the axe).

    Good luck out there!

    Here's my dilemma:
Only have 6.95 left on my Visa Gift Card
Have to decide between getting the $3.99 Survival Pack or getting another game and saving the rest for Humble Bundles and upcoming IOS games

It's a tough decision. The other games (only would get one or two) I'm considering are Slayin, Heavy Sword, Incoboto Mini, Perfect Balance Collection, and Boost 2

I was think if there's a UFO in the game, maybe some cool future content could be like an exotic weapon pack (either as IAP or just added in an update). Might not fit with the tone of the game, but a chain lightning gun or a laser railgun would be very fun to use in arena mode.

When there is smoke arising from a area and you are able to get there you'll find a stack of ammo and supplies. Is this because someone has very recently died there or is it just random?

close one you almost got me, but have to admit i also barely made it.

so far i enjoyed the game & i have to say that i like the iap for the timer removal better than charging for the app itself
this way you can give games a try & decide for yourself (especially on casual games like this)
iap are fair & don't feel like a rip off since the game is easily manageable without

hope it'll get regular updates so i just throw it in 'co-op mode'

but all in all *thumbs up*

Is it just me or are the controls a bit cumbersome?

Personally I felt that the controls reflect the setting of the game. Throwing a flare or changing gun requires a second of thought. As it would if it was stuffed in your backpack

How ironic that a F2P game is creating such a buzz. Just proves that if done properly the F2P model can work. Great work devs. The App Store needed something like this and you filled that need nicely.

Those are random special events. Some have a lot of supplies, some don't. They do not use up a day.

My two cents on the timer, I didn't find it annoying at all in the beta. It basically told me, "Time For a Break, You've played long."
I feel that its fair enough. Its like a demo mode with the timer, which is cool with me.
As an incentive to pay? Fair enough.
    The survival packs seem nice.
My wallet won't be empty for much longer.

No F'ing way, massive facepalm to myself.
Now I don't know if is is just me but up until the last game I played just now I've only been exploring the "travel to" locations and when I get there move to the next and so on, I've not actually pressed explore on the stage I'm actually at (on top of)
Well blow me down the stages do look different and have more loot etc and variation. I'm sure this can't only be me who's been playing like this and the fact I've been playing this way for the past 2-3 days makes me think it should have been explained somewhere.
I'm totally shocked that I bought the survival pack and played for a couple of days without actually playing a proper stage?!? How has this happened.
