Man I hate/love this game. Played for a couple hours this morning. Had a few lucky bonuses early leaving me set for a good push. I got to 21k xp and got through successive hordes without losing any health. On the home stretch and it all went to hell. I died before getting home. I was ticked off but kind of buzzing at the same time. Great gaming moment :)

To the Dev, can we please have an option to move the weapon change button. I have been brought unstuck a couple time from my thumb sliding down onto it and leaving myself open. Thanks again

Well, the game simply wouldn't have worked. My problem is that these games actually exist at all. Thanks for understanding though!

That's very true. I guess what I meant is a paid version alongside the current free version. That way people could outright buy the full game, or try the complete game with freemium gimmicks attached an the ability to unlock the game. I think something like this was done with that gameloft Starcraft copy. The idea would be that the premium game would only decrease in price if the iap in the free version decreased if you get what I mean.

Yeah, that's a really cool thing (the scavenging). I can only use it occasionally when I play at home, but it's a pretty neat idea. Also, thanks for making such an awesome game! I did actually get to full unlock iap about half an hour ago (making me spend over $10 on apps this week) and it really pulls the game together. Thanks for making such an awesome zombie survival game, and apologies for my previous somewhat uneducated comments :(

We've been over this topic here before, though (with developer input, no less). Unless they're Big Fish, developers who split their games into separate apps tend to get less coverage and visibility of either, in part because the stats on sales and downloads are broken across two (or more) distinct titles. This often has the side-effect of making them less profitable in the long run.

As for the concept of IAP, however, there's absolutely nothing inherently wrong with it. Some developers have certainly abused it (less so now than in the past), but if you've chosen for whatever reason to take the personal stance of not taking advantage of IAP at all in any form ever, that's fine. That would appear to put you in the minority, however. I personally don't bother with consumable IAP, because I don't like buying digital content I don't "own" (inasmuch as you can really own anything in the app store).

If there's no functional difference between a $3 game and free game with a $3 "full unlock", in the majority of cases it simply won't be in the developer's best interest to make, support and update two different versions, especially if people are just lurking around to pirate or score sales on the full "paid" version.

Still, you've bought this game, so maybe you'll soften on the whole "unlock" IAP thing. ;)

Beat the game on my first try, managed to get myself a solid 10-20 position on the survival leaderboards on that first try.
For those who are on the fence because of IAP, I accomplished this run with no IAP.

If I have any feedback for the game, it would have to be the difficulty. It just feels really... Easy. The game only really got a tiny bit hard at the end and during the occassional hoard. I wouldnt mind something like a hardcore mode, maybe even where you have to manage food and stuff. Anything really. A game that boasts roguelike qualities should also include the difficulty that comes with them, and beating a roguelike on your first try really shouldnt happen.

However, if the game was more about score than difficulty that is respectable, and basically every other part of the game is polished and well thought out. Wouldnt mind playing again, but this time with the survival pack.

That's impressive, no doubt. I think you are more the exception rather than the rule. Of course, we will continue to tweak the balance as we move forward. Thank you for the input!

I'd like to see more of a city or suburbs themed map that feels like your going down a street and between houses as at the moment the maps all feel really similar.

I'd rather see more bunkers. They are the jackpot!

I would definitely like to add more level templates to what we have now. That is on the top of my list for an update.

Have you hit the Nah-Meen Truck level or the UFO yet?

I've been really enjoying the game so far and probably will end up buying the survival pack. My only request is that you remove the night timer for everyone. I don't mind the IAP and the developers deserve money for their hard work. It just seems unfair to charge money over something so silly and I feel as though I'm being ripped off. I'd prefer if you just charged $0.99 initially for the game and did away with the timer altogether. Other than that great graphics, cool story, good controls = a pretty awesome game! 4/5

Are you trying to be a troll, this is the second time I've seen you post the same message about removing the timers for people who play for free.
If you don't want the timers then pay 69p and remove them you can't expect a game for absolutely nothing.

It did make me lmao that you think your the one being ripped off for not paying someone else for their hard work. Not sure where that thought came from as you obviously have it back to front.

And to think i almost ignored this game!!!!! After a couple of early deaths i bought both ,the survival pack and the arena unlock to fully reward the devs for this most excellent game and the best use of IAP i have seen. If all devs did this no conroversy would be necessary, would it EA???? Well still havent made it past day 6 still getting the game mechanics down, and aiming practice is necessary. Dont look for me on the leaderboards but i will be reading and contributing to the forum..great job devs!,,

No. Absolutely not. If this is inconveniencing you enough for you to keep posting about it, then it's obviously working as an incentive to pay for the game; as Monkey said, at no point are you going to be getting the whole unfettered game for free without there being some kind of motivation to actually pay for it.

There's no difference between the app costing a dollar and app being free with a $1 timer removal except for the fact that the developers are more likely to get people playing their game if the app is free initially. They're also far more likely to have people buy the full Survival Pack once they've tasted the free offering than they are to have people willing to pay the very reasonable $3 for the game before they've had a chance to play it, which is better for everybody involved.

You're asking the developers to remove one of the major motivators to financially support them for this otherwise free game, and you're claiming that you're the one being ripped off. This is what's known as "taking the piss".
