The controls took a little getting used to, and I still occasionally get stuck on some walls, but I'd say I'm getting pretty good! LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #10 LordShad0wz, Jun 23, 2015 Wow. I'm actually really liking this game. Everything is pretty great. Controls are great. I love how others who have died show you the way further. The IAP is very reasonable. It can be played offline or online seamlessly. Very nicely done dev! The community generated "death quotes" are pretty funny Did you purchase the $1.99 IAP, and if so, what does it give you? I found this "Trappy Tomb Post Mortem" on the superfluidgames website. Kinda interesting. http://superfluidgames.com/b/trappy-tomb-postmortem/ weretiger Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2009 129 0 0 #12 weretiger, Jun 24, 2015 If nothing else this is original and pretty fun. Love the ghost swarm. There are no ads, only if you want to earn extra gold. The gold is used for unlocking the other three characters. The other characters are cosmetic only. Stick with it. The first tomb is very short (took me a little over a minute to complete). Follow the ghosts and don't go out of your way to collect gold (unless you're going for a high score). Take your time. You have plenty of time to get through without having to worry about the time limit. There is one in-app purchase ($1.99) which unlocks a new tomb. I suggest beating the first tomb before buying unless of course you want to give more to support the developer. Beating the first tomb will give you a discount ($0.99). After you beat a tomb, you can share your replay to FB, Twitter, etc., and can even add your voice. Really sweet game!!! superfluid Active Member Jun 24, 2015 32 0 0 UK http://superfluidgames.com #14 superfluid, Jun 24, 2015 Last edited: Jun 24, 2015 Hey everyone I'm Jim Paulin the developer of Trappy Tomb, THANK YOU so very much for playing our game it means a HUGE amount! We're a small team (myself plus Mr Shiver musician and sound), your support is just awesome Anotherkellydown just hit us up on twitter @superfluidgames, thanks Anotherkellydown ! Thanks for the awesome summary as well - bang on the money, the ads are opt-in and the single IAP grants access to the world of pain that is the second Tomb - you can see what you're getting on Kamcord (either in the app or website) - as mentioned you can share your pain in game with optional screaming/cursing as you see fit Great to make your acquaintance and thanks again for playing it is AWESOME Edit: More than happy to answer any other questions you have by the way! I reached you at a bad time, being its new game release night (or iOS EVE, as NOEN calls it ). Hopefully the community will take notice of Trappy Tomb before it moves further down the "Hot New Games" list. Are you planning on any updates for TT? If so, have you considered adding more tombs? I haven't beaten the second one yet, as I'm trying for a high score on the first one, but I'd love to have more tombs when I get to that point. I can see this game becoming bigger, and even better than it already is. What are some ideas you have for updates? More characters? Maybe a control sensitivity option? It took a bit of adjusting, but now I'm more comfortable with the touch screen movement. Still, it may be able to be tweaked even more. I'm not knowledgable about game dev, so I only assume any drastic changes may be difficult, due to the community based gameplay. I'm gonna check out Spline Racer too. =) Thanks for taking the time to stop by and answer questions. We are a very small team but yes we absolutely intend to keep developing and updating Trappy Tomb! It's not our day job either so this slows things down considerably, we just do it for the love of making and sharing games! New Tombs are top of the updates list! They take quite a bit of development to setup new traps and enemies to keep them fresh so we won't be ready with those for a little while, but we are already collecting ideas for Tomb 3 and the community is coming up with great suggestions for challenges they'd like to see. The controls are always tricky, we've tried to tune them but of course people will have their own preferences. If you find they feel a bit loose you might like to try the "tight camera" setting in the options menu - this has helped others in similar situations... Also high on the list are new environment themes - we have several we'd like to explore as well as drip-feeding the back story of why these characters are all looting this presumably culturally significant setting in the first place Thanks once more for supporting our game! Looking forward to seeing your death messages and hopefully winning statues in the game! superfluid Active Member Jun 24, 2015 32 0 0 UK http://superfluidgames.com #18 superfluid, Jun 24, 2015 Thanks Callipix that just means a huge amount to us! Would love to see your videos on Kamcord if you are up for it, and also any ideas you have for where we should take the game Anotherkellydown Moderator Staff Member Patreon Bronze Feb 10, 2014 4,581 1,134 113 Male CAD Technician I Upstate NY https://youtube.com/channel/UCcvu9xhE7xT-mZrXUZQJr5g #19 Anotherkellydown, Jun 24, 2015 Last edited: Jun 24, 2015 That's very good news! Glad to hear you're planning more tombs. I completely understand the time constraints of having a day job for small dev teams like yours. I'm willing to wait and will definitely purchase more content if it is added! Trappy Tomb is on my home screen so I don't forget to play it (so many games!). =) Thanks for the advice on the "tight camera" setting too. I'll definitely try that out. Honestly though, I'm getting more and more comfortable with the controls the more I play. I'll be sharing more successful runs via Kamcord, and try to think of some clever death quotes, as well as reporting back here with any ideas I come up with for the game. =) [edit] I remembered something I forgot to ask earlier. Is there a way to turn off the ghosts? I tried the "mute ghosts" setting, but I'm guessing that just gets rid of the death quotes, as I don't remember the ghosts being gone after that. gamer300 Well-Known Member Feb 11, 2014 193 0 0 Europe #20 gamer300, Jun 24, 2015 Really enjoying this game. Bought the second tomb just now because the game itself is free anyway. I like that you can see other ghosts and their death messages. Some of them were pretty funny. Easy to reccomend because you can try the first tomb for free and see if you like it or not. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
