Screenshots really make it worse as well. Hopefully soon the fad will die off. I'm doing my part by not downloading any of the clone games. curtisrshideler Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2011 3,097 25 48 Male Video Producer/Editor Texas http://twitter.com/curtneedsaride #9 curtisrshideler, Jan 13, 2016 Another one. This time with supposed Transformers in it?! Anyone else remember that old iPhone game Transformers: G1 Awakening? THAT was a game. Too bad we don't have any premium action/adventure Transformers games for iOS. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #10 chief78, Jan 14, 2016 Last edited: Jan 15, 2016 Since I never tried CoC or any of the other RTS clones, I'll give this a shot. I'm a sucker for G1 Tformers. EDIT: Damn....for a franchise that came from the US, you'd think it would be out in the frickin' US! Still hadn't hit the store. Just noticed the NZ soft launch....doh! chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #11 chief78, Jan 17, 2016 Probably because I haven't played any RTS games on iOS yet, I'm really liking this so far. All the bot models are literally based off their most recent toy release and progression picks up after the first few mandatory missions and waiting. Sure there's timers for stuff to get built etc, but that is this genre. As a Tformers fan, I'm digging this. And it's certsinly much less offensive than the crap DeNA put out (Battle Tactics) or the Angry Birds spinoff, which was just a cash cow. HallmarkCard Well-Known Member Mar 21, 2015 176 5 18 #12 HallmarkCard, Feb 16, 2016 Looks amazing on my iPad Pro!! Gorgeous graphics. I'm not even a fan but I can see definite potential here. I'm in an alliance & they do have alliance wars. This is similar to rival kingdoms but without the IAP in your face so far.... Surprised to see very little posts on it. I downloaded it from my Australian iOS account. It's on Android too. Plus the graphics and classic design of the robots is second to none. I've played pretty much every transformers game on the market and this is by far the best one out there ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #15 ramzarules, Jun 6, 2016 graphics are nice, and the transformations are done very well. however, all the usual F2P money grabs are here. I just got Optimus, used him in the first battle and because he took some damage, i had to wait a couple of minutes before using him again - or, you know, pay to use him instantly. At the same time, the 20 euro starting package hit me. so yeah, it's pay 100s of cash or wait and get left in the competitive pvp dust, again Cobra Active Member Jun 13, 2011 27 0 0 Indie Game Developer Australia http://CobraBlade.NET #16 Cobra, Jul 23, 2016 I was such a huge fan of the original cartoon it's sad that I never found any Transformer games I enjoyed... until now that is. I love this game, the graphics are amazing, they really brought the original designs to life. Things are also good in the audio department with Optimus and Megatron's voices and the game is just fun to play. Love levelling up my bots. I really don't get people who say game X is just a clone of game Y so not interested. Try it and see if you like it, if not that's fair enough. But the majority of games are inspired by or almost identical to other games before them. It would be like me saying I didn't want to play G1 Awakening when it came out because it was just a clone of Fire Emblem. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
