As untypical as this sounds, my laptop got ran over by a truck after it plowed through my dads office building wall. With my laptop being utterly useless, I'm stuck with my iTouch. I should be getting a new laptop soon, but is there any way I can move the data (music, apps, etc..) onto the iTunes of the new laptop? If not... what the hell do I do. Edit -* No backup on CD. I know.. I suck.
You can add all your iTunes purchases in your new computer. When you are on iTunes, you'll see a link about them in "File" and when you click on it, you download for free all the list. So, it's perfect for the apps as you buy them all You need to add the new computer on your iTunes account before, of course
no that only works with content purchased from iTunes There is other software you can use, I don't remember any specific ones but you should be able to find something online.
The apps transfer automatically (transfer purchases for iDevice), but the data'll be gone forever The music can be transferred with software found, well, anywhere. I personally (really) recommend Senuti, but there might be something free out there somewhere.
the ones that u got from itunes can be pulled back from the ipod in itunes its self. as for the ones u have on CD, u already have a copy of. as for the ones from friends, why do u have those? i guess thats apples logic.
