oh yeah I forgot about that whenever a train passes it the next one takes the other route. So the first train takes the top route and the one behind or the next train will take the bottom route.

Well, "Angry Birds" is a by-gone now, the next "stop" would be Cut the Rope. :D

Looks like there has been a sudden raise in attention throughout the media, after posts here in TA (TA leads the way!) Kieffer Bros (ABCA, Aqua-duct) write up something regarding this title: http://kiefferbros.posterous.com/three-cheers-for-trainyard

    Congrads to you all.

Wow I'm an idiot. This whole time I thought the train on the app icon was a truck or something, I had thought the butt of the train was the the head of some truck... I just realized it's a train. Again, I'm stupid

Awesome game. Does anyone else try to make it a little harder on themselves like I do? Even for most of the simpler puzzles I aim to make the track as long and complicated as possible, and see how long I can keep the trains moving before they reach the destination. Otherwise I either attempt to use every square on the board, or make pretty patterns :)

After I've solved the puzzles, I sometimes check the solutions posted on the trainyard site to see what others have done. It seems mine are always all over the place.

How many people have actually used the Share on Facebook feature? I must say I was more than impressed with the results... there was me expecting a screenshot at most but instead I got a fully animated flash rendition of my solution, complete with replay button and even a speed slider! Now you're just showing off!

I find the icon kinda blocky on non-retina displays.

Wow, I had no idea. No one on my Facebook is into apps like me, so I never use those features. Sounds impressive though.

That's insane. Good move dropping the price to 99 cents. That was probably instrumental.

Congratulations; your wife must be thrilled. :p

    iPad?

I purchased this game on the iPad tonight. Couple of things:

    1) The app wasn't under the iPad section of the iTunes store, yet the release notes said it had hi-res graphics for the iPad.

    2) The splash screen was hi-res, but everything after that was the 1x / 2x deal, definitely an iPhone app.

Was there an HD version that was hidden or something?

  14. I bought this app last night since it was on sale for $0.99, and I honestly didn't expect much out of it. I am now addicted and in love.

I think he just recently retina-display upgraded it, if that means anything to you (redid graphics to take advantage of higher-rez display of the iPhone 4)

This is just a super slick game, IMHO, games like these are way better than all MoH or CoD or their clones. It brings back fun simple games that are highly repayable and enjoyable. Just like the golden age of the 8 bit era.

    Game I like

I really enjoy solving puzzles, but my fave stage is the first one. I think i found one of the longest tracks for red line, with 230k moves :D

    Trainyard.ca/3mAs

Note: it takes more than 4 hrs on full speed :p

The 2x version on the iPad uses the retina graphics, so it actually looks good and isn't all blurry.

    FML.

    ;)
