Hello everyone! We are a very small team from Austria and we are getting close to finish our first game! "Trail Of Treasures" is a location-based adventure game. The goal of the game is to find all lost treasures by going on GPS expeditions. To finance your expeditions you have to collect various resources and trade them online. Make use of different harvesting and searching tools. Searching tools are loaded with energy which is produced while walking. Use them to find new resources arround your area. For example fish in water, wood in nature or iron in cities. Specific resources can be used for crafting new harvesting tools, feeding your avatar or trading on the market. With the profit you can finance exciting expeditions which bring you to the lost treasures. Go outside and become the most successful treasure hunter in your neighborhood and world wide. Signed up, I played one like this quite a few years back. This looks more in depth than the one I played though. In that one you'd find and bury treasures for other players to find and earn points or something like that.
Thanks for signing up for the beta, hope you enjoy it - in this one, we tried to add quite a bit of depth for example the treasures appear depending on maps you buy from your money earned by mining and trading resources. The resources and treasures are depending on real-world terrain so you might find different stuff in the city than in the countryside! We are always open for feedback under [email protected]
It'll be interesting to see if there's much around me and how it works and if there's anything I can do without constantly going out. Of course going out is part of the fun but I often got jealous with Pokemon while other people could find them at home there was nothing at all near me. Will any beta progress be kept or deleted? I'll still help test but it decides on the kind of time I'll give to an app.
Sure, you can mine resources and trade them without going out a lot, but the main purpose of the game is to wander around and find treasures and even more resources. So you cannot play at home for like hours, but certainly 15 minutes every few hours to check for regenerating resources, mine and trade them - but you will most likely not find any treasures at home, just resources. In future versions however we will probably add more game options that can be exploited while being at the same place (at home, at work, in a bar, ...), as well as a few social features. Beta progress will be kept, we certainly do not want our beta players to waste their time pointlessly
