Okay, so if someone requests lumber at your lumber yard, stone at your stone yard, or cloth at your loom, there is no reason to say no. If you don't have a request going, you're just converting materials. If you ARE doing a request, you are producing materials for both you and the other player AND you get a gold reward when completed. Futhermor, you BOTH get the converted goods when completed.
