So has anyone played SG Tower Defence with its bargain price ?
    Looks too expensive but interesting.

And my favorite at the moment since the last update is Besiegement - which is excellent

    single/multi path?

I would like to know which of the TD games for the iPhone are multi-path tower defense games, where the placement of your towers influences the path the creatures take to get to the exit. The only one I've played on the iPhone is Fieldrunners.

The other ones I've played (single path) are: The Creeps, 7CitiesTD, and Tap Defense.

Personally, I think the single-path TD games have limited replayability, while the multi-path are much more interesting and varied. If only the latest upgrade of fieldrunners weren't so buggy!

i know this is OT but i threw up in my mouth when i saw the icon for Geo Defense. i mean, c'mon. talk about ripping off a franchise (Blue Attack and Blue Defense).

It's the exact same color and design style. it's obvious they're hoping to steal a few sales from Blue Defense.

it's a shame, cuz the game looks decent. not buying out of principle. hmmph.

Are you sure they weren't just going with the icon as being one of the towers from the game?

They could of course be doing what you said though, but I really doubt it.

I wouldn't go that far to say they're ripping off a franchise.
First, people search by name of an application, not an icon so I don't think people are going to mistakenly purchase geoDEFENSE instead of blue attack/defense
Second, the icons while they share the same shade of blue, do not resemble each other
Third, Blue Attack/Blue Defense does not own a copyright of that shade of blue.

i know. i didn't say they violated any copyrights.

they could've come up with an original icon is all.

No, you didn't say they had copyrights but you did say that geoDEFENSE ripped them off. :) All I'm saying is I wouldn't go that far
The icon is still original, it's just the same shade of blue IMO.
Anyways, not trying to argue, was just stating my opinion that they are different, and you may just be missing out on a great game. ;)

Besiegement, has both modes built in, path and maze. Also some great depth and challenge to the game.

    @grid yep i agree with you !

Besiegement as mentioned has both and is excellent, and thats why i asked about SG Tower Defence as it looks like no set path

#edit oh and power towers too has no path and is well worth checking out !

Some maze building tds on appstore are Power Towers, Mote-M and Firewall Free. Besiegement has both fixed paths and mazes. I find maze building games more tedious to play (gotta build zillions of cheap towers to build the necessary walls) and there really is not so many ways to build an efficient maze. They all end up maximizing the number of turns and twists in the end. I like the fixed maps more because I prefer the tactics of tower placement and upgrades over the building part. Matter of taste.

Edit: the fixed path maps can technically be multipaths too, but in a different sense: there may be x ins and y exits for the creeps.

Ummm... I doubt it. For example, I've never seen (or at least paid attention to) the blue defense icon and I have no interest in the Blue games. Aren't the games of different genre even? It's very hard to imagine a situation where a customer could be fooled to make a wrong purchase because of a similarity of icons. I guess an icon for a vector based game easily ends up looking a bit similar.

If the game really an imposter, it would have been named True Defense or Bull Defense :) Please don't skip a good game because of an unfortunate icon art!
