The turtle is fantastic for the arena, but I don't use him much in the wild--I'm pretty good at dodging shots, but when in the arena with him fully powered not only will a shot that hits you not count, but it'll send the turtle back at the attacker--then I can see my guy flash, follow the turtle, and rain hell on the guy!
Edit: and I want some challenges from you other guys! Playing against myself is fun, but I'm hitting a wall--need motivation to think outside the box.

How about 603 arena with no dungeon 'jectiles? Spoilers:
(Which if I recall is Basilisk, Chainsaw, Colossus, Devil, Dragon, Hydra, Shadowman, Shalloke, Unicorn and Zombie) Let's go ahead and say no Forn for good measure.

    Quick update!

We now have gamepad support and GameCenter leaderboards hooked up. Three new 'Jectiles to add, and then this patch is DONE! And ready to be thoroughly tested.

For some reason this reminds me of HungryMaster and ElectroMaster. Both of which I loved.

v1.1 Patch notes! FEAST YOUR EYE HOLES!

Sup gang! We've got some (tentative) patch notes for ya.

    http://www.butterscotch-shenanigans.com/2013/03/towelfight-2-patch-11-notes.html

    Target release dates:
    Android: Monday, March 4th
iOS: Submission to Apple Monday, March 4th. Expected approval by march 15th.

    Patch 1.1 Notes

    Bug Fixes
    • Patched a memory leak that was sometimes causing games to slow down and ultimately crash until rebooted.
    • After the game is beaten, you should now still get to talk with the dudes at your home base.
    • Hardik no longer gets stuck on dungeon doors when entering rooms from the side or top.
    • A few players were experiencing game crashes upon loading their saves. This should be fixed (in most cases). If you experienced this bug and it is not fixed, contact us and we’ll get it working!
    Controls
    • An option has been added to the in-game menu to set the D-pads to the middle or bottom of the screen.
    • An option has been added to the in-game menu to change the D-pads from “floating” to “fixed” position.
    • The default setting for the D-pads is 8-way movement, fixed position, settled in the bottom corners of the screen.
    Three New ‘Jectiles
    • We have added one new 'Jectile to the Marsh, Forest, and Nightmare each. These 'Jectiles and their augments cannot be purchased in the store, and they will only appear after the last boss in their relative zones have been defeated.
    Tim the Magician
    • A new NPC who you can find anywhere in the world. He will come to your home base and will cast powerful 5-minute enchantments on you! For a price...
    Balance
    • Enemies will sometimes (about 1/8 times) respawn in already-cleared rooms.
    • The Twitbird’s hashtag deuce now bounces toward the center of the room slightly. This should prevent you from having ineffective hashtag deuces uselessly exploding outside the walls.
    • The turtle shell now lasts a variable amount of time, based on your current shoot speed.
    GameCenter (iOS)
    • All arena challenges now have associated GameCenter leaderboards.
    • We also have a new leaderboard on GameCenter for game completion speed. The time for this leaderboard starts ticking when you first create your new game, and ends when you defeat Forn.
    Arena
    • Slightly reduced the number of enemies in the arena at a given time. This should allow the arena to run more smoothly on lower-end devices.
    • The number of arena “fixed enemy” challenges has been reduced to 5, and the rewards from the arena have been reduced to be not quite so absurd (although still substantial).
    • Every 100 enemies you defeat in the arena, you take an extra half-heart of damage per injury. This caps out at 2 hearts per injury. A message will appear on screen each time the difficulty is increased.
    • New challenge mode: Endless Arena -- See how many enemies you can defeat before you get utterly destroyed and humiliated! It’s free to enter, and enemies drop the normal amount of coins. You do not lose coins upon death in the Endless Arena.
    GUI Updates
    • Full revamp of in-game menu
    • Hardik’s face and the reticle have been made a bit bigger on the Dpads, and the Dpads themselves have been scaled up slightly.

Edit: Game controller support looks like it won't be possible in the short-term. Holding out hope for a future patch though!

This game is crazy, good, and crazy good. My one suggestion/request would be for audio options (mute music but keep effects). Possible?

Also, the game resets to Mid setting for graphics every time it's opened. Not a big deal, obviously, but it'd be cool to save the settings.

Thanks for considering these suggestions, awesome Hawkeye developer. And for making such a bomb-ass game.

Thanks for the feedback! We've got the graphics settings saved in the next patch, though nothing with separating music from sound (yet). We're hoping to get that in soon!

Get out the vote woo wooo

    HEYOOOOO!

We're nominated for Game of the Week over here on your lovely forums.

Seth and I have been BUSTING OUR GLORIOUS MANCHOPS updating this game as per all of your feedback and it would be wonderful if you could hop over there and help us eek out the competition.

The other games are cool and all...but do they let you shoot animals out of your face?

    NO. THEY DON'T.

Go protect your face-shooting freedoms and vote us up, as we're restricted from doing so ourselves.

Would you mind posting a screenshot? When you finish killing all enemies in a room it should open, and all the doors in a room shouldn't be blocked by debris. I want to make sure you don't have some odd bug!

Thanks for the quick reply! I do like the music but foresee playing this so much that the tunes get maddeningly stuck in my head.

And congratulations for winning Pocket Gamer's award for game of the week. Rock on.

    FOLKS.

We've just submitted the next patch to Apple. You can find the patch notes below.

Note: While we wanted to include gamecenter support in this patch we've encountered an odd bug with it that we can't delay the rest of the patch for (like the new controls!). It is working and leaderboards are built in, but it is causing crashes upon minimizing the game. We'll be working over the rest of the week to figure it out, but in the meantime the new control scheme, jectiles, optimization tweaks, arena modes, and buffs will have to suffice.

    Highlights
    1. A bunch of new control options.
    2. Three new powerful 'Jectiles; one from each of the major zones.
    3. A "Bagician" named Tim who casts powerful 5-minute buffs on you!
    4. The Arena has been updated and streamlined, with two new modes added.
    5. Fixed some major bugs and optimized a few things.

    Control Improvements
    1. An option has been added to the in-game menu to set the D-pads to the middle or bottom of the screen.
    2. An option has been added to the in-game menu to change the D-pads from “floating” to “fixed” position.
    3. An option has been added to the in-game menu to change the D-pads from 360 degree control (super fine) to 8-way control (more coarse)
    4. The default setting for the D-pads is 8-way movement, fixed position, settled in the bottom corners of the screen.

    Arena
    1. Slightly reduced the number of enemies in the arena at a given time. This should allow the arena to run more smoothly on lower-end devices.
    2. The number of arena “fixed enemy” challenges has been reduced to 5, and the rewards from the arena have been reduced to be not quite so absurd (although still substantial).
    3. New challenge mode: Endless Arena -- See how many enemies you can defeat before you get utterly destroyed and humiliated! It’s free to enter, and enemies drop the normal amount of coins. You do not lose coins upon death in the Endless Arena. Enemies in the Endless Arena deal one whole heart of damage instead of one half.
    4. New challenge mode: Insane Arena -- Same as Endless Arena, but each enemy deals 2 hearts of damage. You might need to rely on Tim the Bagician to get you through this one...

    Three New ‘Jectiles
We have added one new 'Jectile to the Marsh, Forest, and Nightmare each. These 'Jectiles and their augments cannot be purchased in the store, and they will only appear after the last boss in their relative zones have been defeated. They are special.

    Tim the Bagician
A new NPC who you can find anywhere in the world. He will come to your home base and will cast powerful 5-minute enchantments on you! For a price...

    Bug Fixes/Optimization
    1. Patched a memory leak that was sometimes causing games to slow down and ultimately crash until rebooted.
    2. After the game is beaten, you should now still get to talk with the dudes at your home base.
    3. Hardik no longer gets stuck on dungeon doors when entering rooms from the side or top.
    4. A few players were experiencing game crashes upon loading their saves. This should be fixed. If you experienced this bug and it is not fixed, contact us and we’ll get it working!
    5. Reduced game slowdown when craptons of coins pop out of enemies' torsos.
    6. Your “SFX” settings are now saved between game sessions.

    Quality of Life
The game now pauses when minimized.

    Balance
    1. Enemies will sometimes respawn in already-cleared rooms. Stay on your toes.
    2. The Twitbird’s hashtag deuce now bounces toward the center of the room slightly. This should prevent you from having ineffective hashtag deuces uselessly exploding outside the walls.
    3. The turtle shell now lasts a variable amount of time, based on your current shoot speed.

    GUI Updates
    1. Full revamp of in-game menu
    2. Hardik’s face and the reticle have been made a bit bigger on the Dpads, and the Dpads themselves have been scaled up slightly.

I want to ask, why does this game not have 2 or 3 difficulty settings? Final boss is way too hard for my liking (killed the rest on either my first or second tries...)
