Totally agree re GTA. Badly needs Retina! My top 10 would be: 01. RAGE HD 02. REAL RACING 2 03. INFINITY BLADE 04. DUNGEON DEFENDERS 05. NOVA 2 06. MC2: BLACK PEGASUS 07. STREET FIGHTER IV 08. FIFA 11 09. GTA: CHINATOWN WARS 10. ESPGALUDA II I can't believe there hasn't been more support for Rage HD, or that nobody has mentioned Espgaluda. I know that I've omitted some huge games in my list, but these are the creme de la creme for me.
Super Quickhook - by far my most played game on my ipod touch Infinity Blade Frogatto Solipskier Spirit I give love to the smaller guys =] Edit: Tilt to Live Phoenix Wright (though this is merely a port of a few year old game, so I don't believe this should be counted)
GTA:Ctw (I like it better than GTA IV!) Phoenix wright Lego Harry Potter but these are ports so I don't know if they really count, even though they are very good. Aralon Nova 2 Tilt to Live Carcassonne Hector Badge of Carnage Helsing's fire
The third game that I didn't mention (because it's a port) is Dodonpachi Resurrection, but you could easily add a 4th title for me, Espgaluda II.
But PW released on iOS this year you either love it or hate it. Goty? Maybe not when up against the other nominations, but it deserves a mention.
The quality of games, and the quantity of high quality games, has just exploded this year. Consider TA's list from last year: http://toucharcade.com/2009/12/25/best-ipod-touch-and-iphone-games-2009-buyers-guide/ I don't think many of those games would even be discussed for top-ten status this year.
OMG!! So many good games! GTA:CTW, Plants vs Zombies, Galaxy on Fire 2, Sentinal 3, Rimelands, RR2, Nova2, Shadow Guardian, DoDonPachi R, Game Dev Story,Rage HD, Infinity Blade, Bug Panic... Guys it's impossible and we call it a draw and just enjoy the iOS goodness? Lol!
Infinity Blade Galaxy On Fire 2 Game Dev Story Real Racing 2 Plants vs Zombies Reckless Racing Space Miner PuzzleQuest 2 iBomber Defence Sentinel 3
Aralon: Sward and Shadow Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus Eternal Legacy Real Racing 2 RAGE HD Sentinel 3 Infinity Blade Rimelands Revolt Castlevania: Encore of the Night
Shouldn't Angry Birds ipad edition count since it was released in April 2010? Cut the Rope Super Mega Worm Lara Croft Guardian of light and on the app side of things iSpy Cameras soooo addicting
Aralon RR2 GTA: CW Super Quickhook/Hook Worlds My overall vote would be RR2. I always thought the iPhone works well for racing games, and RR2 is like having a mini version of Gran Turismo in my pocket. Mini as in less content but certainly not dumbed down. I am looking for the TA's official games of year feature, if they are even going to do one.
