Go find me one site that isn't solely for the idevice/mobile device that claims the idevice can handle anything but casual games. In any case, this is a pointless argument. Also, I like oreos, kinda, but not really. Cookies aren't good for you. Hey I'ma go wait for Santa now in my room. Lol anyways, merry christmas guys. Yes, even you, too heavy for gravity.
Sorry, that's not what you said. This is what you said: "They" referring to "most of the people who have idevices". Facts, charts, bar graphs, numbers, sources, NAO. And if you want to make a point, try garnering the data from TA users (aka, the ones polling), I'd love for you to try and support your statement that most of the people here don't have a gaming background. Smartass: 1 Dumbass: 0 This thread is sucking anyway.
And yes, I stand with that statement. This thread is stickied. At the very top. Now add up all the votes if that's within your ability, which is doubtful. Now go hit forums. You can find that button at the top of the screen. Yes, you click it. Now scroll down and tell me how many 'active users' there are. Now let's go back to this thread, and back to the sum that you 'calculated.' So..what is that? Not even near 1%?! Oh my. Don't patronize me if you don't know what you're talking about. Only the people most into gaming will even take the time to click 2 keys to vote. Taking a sample like you suggested would yield nothing about the base of idevice users. In my opinion, take the argument to Hodapp. I'm sure you won't disagree with him.
Wait, so just because they didn't care enough vote, they're not gamers? So I guess the total number of people on TA with an N64/SNES/XBox/PS/Nintendo/PC/what-have-you "serious" gaming system number around 200. Gee, with that kind of reasoning, you make cardboard look smart.
Why don't you read what you said. You told me to take a poll to determine the user base. I'm telling how stupid you are for suggesting that. Wow, just qft ok?
Maybe majority of iGamers are casual ones, but that does not validate the exclusion of Chaos Rings from this list. And regarding console vs handheld/iOS, this 7th generation is ruining gaming as a whole. The slide started with Wii, and the other platforms are joining in too. Games are either not fun enough, or they are neglected.
Please do quote me. Wait, I'll do it. Out of the 70000 or so members who took the time to find and register for a forum like TA, how many are just "casual gamers"? Probably a pretty small percentage. Furthermore, out of the 200 people who voted, how many do you think don't have a gaming background originating from consoles or some sort of "larger" gaming system? Probably even a smaller percentage. So, using this conclusion, that in no way supports your counter-argument as to why Chaos Rings wasn't on this poll. Quite frankly, it's because your original response didn't address the issue at hand in the first place. Don't blame me for your lack of comprehension. Original: sandy_1988: Infinity Blade gets more votes than GTA or Real Racing 2? And Chaos Rings not in the list? Sorry, but this speaks of the general standard of gaming these days. backtothis: Keep in mind that most of the people who have idevices are casual gamers. They don't have previous experience with large consoles. It's not fair to judge like that. I. Win.
Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!!!!!!!(and happy Hannukah, Kwanza, and whatever holiday you celebrate!!)
Infinity Blade is coming back. Will it regain the lead? Or, will Aralon maintain the lead and win GOTY? Or, will Real Racing 2 snatch the prize? We will find out tomorrow. (cmon PvZ, you can do it)
cleerly op is to imaturre 4 making lame polll lik this moar inteligent members on toucharcade plz u guys just dont meet my standerds
Crex: tell me something; i'm ignoring all previous debates on this thread but can't help but notice that you've been gunning for PvZ to win it all in multiple posts on this thread. I too believe it was a pretty poor choice on your behalf to put your personal choices in the final poll over the general consensus' picks. Not that it matters much now anyways; many people have cast their votes and creating another one now would be useless. But just my 0.02c...
The thing is... ...A lot of people just got iTunes giftcards and iPods and iPod touches yesterday, and a lot are probably looking for iPhone gaming sites, like Toucharcade. But people are too busy trying out their new iOS devices, and are probably about to try out some games. Also, many other iPhone gamers just bought a lot of the games listed on here, but haven't had a chance to try them out yet. And I'm sure many people on here would like to change their vote. Yeterday, in fact, I basically put some real time into Real Racing 2, and I personally think it's the second best game of the year, behind NOVA 2, and Infinity Blade is the third. So why would you close the poll today, when so many people just received, bought, or are putting time into a lot of these new games? I think the poll SHOULD'VE opened today (if at all, but that's a different debate), and closed within the first two weeks of January. You really did NOT put a lot of thought into this, crex. I think you should leave to the TA mods next time, or someone smarter, to make polls like this next time.
Your kind of right, but than if you just got an ipod touch. 2 weeks wont be enough to cover all the games. You need your iDevice for at least 2 months to be considered a good votee (is that a word?). Basically, if you just got an idevice you SHOULD NOT VOTE.
If Aralon wins, it's only because of fanboys, no real weight. It's not even RPG of the year (that would be Chaos Rings), let alone game of the year material (and yes, I bought it and played it for a while - above average graphics, mundane gameplay)
