This was just answered one page before your question. Maybe you overlooked it? Here is the answer: Short version: Apple has cracked down on similar apps, like Touch Arcade, in regards to new guidelines. They, Touch Arcade, don't want to commit time, money and resources to updating the app for it to only get rejected. They feel it would be too costly. So, for now there won't be any updates in the foreseeable future.
Could you guys please update your icon? It stands out like a sore thumb badly on iOS7-9. And the corners are cut off. Please???
The TouchArcade app wont be updated. it cost lots of money and Apple will just reject it cause its provide lists of new games etc
How is it the AppZapp app has been updated 4 times this year and TA can't update their app? AppZapp is an app cataloging app right?
Haven't rebooted my 6s, but even though I get news article alerts in-app, it shows only the Sssnakes story (or whathave) and older.
I know it's been discussed a lot in the past and the reason they don't update the app is a change in the appstores policies but can't they do what MobCrush is doing? Let us download an updated version and trust the app from their own site?
So, just noticed the app pretends to accept my comment "likes" but promptly forgets them. How long has this been happening? Guess it's time finally ditch this. Maybe I'll use the mobile site. Maybe.
Why is the app CheapCharts able to stay updated (last updated 1/18/2017; originally released in December of 2013) and yet the Toucharcade app can't do the same? I know the Toucharcade app hasn't been updated because of previous changes to Apple's policies; but what about these policies allow an app like CheapCharts to stay up-to-date and not Toucharcade--as far as I can tell they do the same thing. And the CheapCharts app even has a broader reach than Toucharcade, encompassing all app store media rather than just games.
