Going to be a slow week for me. Already have so much to play and have been spending way more than I should be lately (including older releases like Final Fantasy Tactics). So my noms will be just: Scurvy Scallywags (best match-3 I've played in a long time) Maximus ....and if it comes out on iOS... Quadropus Rampage (been playing the Android version and it's fantastic) EDIT: Added Maximus and guess Quadropus will wait until next week, hopefully.
Definitely Scurvy Scallywags - I'm intending to buy Kingdom Rush: Frontiers at some point, but this game will have my attention for quite a while, so probably my only nomination.
This week aint bad, but it is a slow down from the barrage of high quality games we got the past 2 weeks.
For me its quite the opposite, quite amazing since I got 4 games this week, 4! (4 and 2 coin doublers to be precise)... Didnt buy that many in ages! Edit: Oh man, and next week is already looking very good too. Already have 3 on my sight. Amazing times indeed.
My nominations this week are: Kinetic Damage Scurvy Scallywags Both are awesome! I really didn't think I would play Scurvy much, but I'm starting to get into it. I'll probably send the 99 cents on the gold doubler tonight. Kinetic Damage is a truly great game. It's almost like a 2D Virtua Fighter game (no spamming fireballs just punches/kicks). The developer did a crazy amount of work getting everything balanced and polished. It takes a little while to "get a feel" for the game, but once you do, it's hard to put it down.
I think I've figured out why Cubemen isn't getting thousands of nominations... ...all of the strategy buffs are still busy playing Frozen Synapse and Warhammer Quest and haven't yet noticed this little gem shining among the other jewels we've recently had bestowed upon us.
Scurvy Scallywags Bridgy Jones 9th Dawn After last week's awesome big-budget extravaganza, it was to be expected that many of the best games this week would be smaller casual titles again. SS and BJ manage to inject an additional level of charm and gameplay missing from similar titles, though, which makes a lot of difference.
9th Dawn. Graphically it's less than amazing. It's everything that's missing in most RPG's on the AppStore though.
9th Dawn - just a fantastic mix with some Ultima feel Scurvy Scallywags - Ron Gilbert is back to his former glory Sparkle 2 - the best marble shooter got an even better sequel Titan - Escape the Tower - unusual, but very good designed brick breaker Kingdom Rush: Frontier - nice one
