Yea I'm not sure why there was no front page coverage.. there have been many past games that were featured and weren't as good as TS:3D..so Idk
Hey guys do you think this game is worth $1, I think Im going to get it but I dont know if Ill get tired of it, is it great, should I get it?
It all depends on your taste in games. TS is a solid soccer app; once you get used to the controls. And seriously, it is just a dollar.
The key here is: give it some time. You will suck on your first game, and probably the next one as well. Also, keep track of the arrow on the field. It's your most important tool for staying oriented in the game.
There are some reason failure for this game 1 soccer is not popular for everyone :/ 2 marketing budget is not game"peace of shit"loft 3 we need many hours for control the game maybe the game need a new video tutorial more explicit or extend the soccer border field
its doing ok-ish, but no where near the levels of Nano Rally. On the up side, one reason for doing a football game was that, although there are people who dont like soccer, there are also lots who do - and that will hopefully mean a steady (if small) stream of sales.
Hmm. Well, staying in Apple's feature charts is really important..would adding an alternate control scheme boost sales maybe? Or..damn it'd just be awesome if online multiplayer could be done
Thanks squarezero, it makes me sad too, only because I think its better than alot of games featured. The REAL killer is, apart from a short stint on "what we're playing", it has not been featured on the App Store. The reason that makes me sad is that it effects my decision process when deciding what to make next. If Apple want us indie devs to push the boundaries, we need support - they need to spend more time looking at their apps. Otherwise we will all start switching from "spend 2 months making an great game, that offers something different to the gamers" to "spend 2 weeks making an OK game, that does nothing new" Morgan
hmm, im not sure. It may do, but I get the feeling this has passed the App Store editors by, so a new control scheme might not help. There is also the issue of whether the game looses whats good about it, if say the player movement is joystick controlled. I'm considering doing it, but financially its going to be hard as the game isn't really selling enough to cover the work required. fingers crossed for a decent app store feature!
I have enough of a liking for the game Morgan, you buy the Touch Soccer Weeble costume and I'll wear it in Times Square and market the game for you
I picked this game up over Christmas and I've really been enjoying it. It is definitely one of the (so far) hidden gems of the App Store. It's a very quirky and innovative take on football that plays like nothing I've seen before. It's got elements of table football and Subbuteo in there but also has a unique feel to it. I don't understand people's gripes with the controls - I got used to it straight away and have had no problems. Well done on a very good game. Btw, I have given the game a little coverage here
