Just won the world cup with Australia. Beat Spain 3-2 in the final after losing to them 6-0 in one of the qualifying rounds. This game needs online multiplayer BADLY. Any chance?
i beta tested this one and played it really long i win games on easy in 2 11:0 or sth like that on med. 5:0 on hard the game become closer
hi folks, I didn't know it was out until logged onto touchrcade! No email from apple, odd. Thanks for the possitive feed back, I'll answer in detail tomorrow after the office crimbo party! Cheers Morgan
Hey fooshnip, glad you like the game, thanks for buying it. i agree that the player switching needs tweaking - try turning auto-switching off in the options to see if you prefer it like that. tweaking this is top of my list of gameplay updates. squarezero - thanks, you describe how i expected it to play, 3-4 games to get the hang of it, then its fun. I might have to quote you on iTunes if thats ok? I could have removed this learning curve with an analogue stick for controls, but it was no where near as fun - 1 finger doing all the flicking is best. Cheers for buying the game! Thanks derek, landscape is best for a wider field of vision, which helps alot. I play in portrait mode though, becauce you can swipe forwards further - making shooting easier. both have the plus points. Yeah, i know what you mean about needing a fanfair or something for winning championships. I want to get that in at some point, along with an intro screen showing the kits. thanks for the congrats thanks mate, glad you think its fun. Excellent, that was the plan. I love the other Football games on the phone, but i want one that feels more like playing thatn watching - it always bugs me that console games put most effot into that view point, you wouldnt see the big FPS games changing to that viewpoint.. hmm, im not sure. the game get pretty fast, with constant moving and flicking. im not sure the refresh rate would be good enough via the internet, even over wifi. And i'd i think it woild need some serverside programing skills that i dont have at the moment. I would love to do it though, it would be awesome thanks mattll, tester extrordiare - you, sir, rock!
Feel free to quote me in any way you need. Anything I can do to help: I freaking love this game. TA should cover this on the front page stat. I've made it to the elimination round of the World Cup a couple times already. Is it just me, or is the AI set differently for different teams? Some havebeerm a bit more defensive, others thoroughly aggressive. Most recent game, Germany ended up scoring a cheap goal to get ahead of me during overtime. My first reaction was to flip them the finger. There I am, sitting on my desk chair, flipping the finger to a bunch of pixels on my phone screen. Now, that's immersive.
Yeah, it ocurred to me the logistics of online multiplayer for something like this could be a pain... The IDEAL though... Oh boy.
thanks I'm really glad that you're liking the game, makes the effort worth it! The AI is different for differnt teams, all have different abilities and tactics, though the tactics are only make small differnces.
I'll third that motion Touch Soccer 3D is so fun and an all-around good game. How this game isn't being talked about in swarms I don't understand. Like most it took a couple games to get comfy with the controls, now I'm a regular Pelé. I'm gonna play some more and get an iTunes review up. Just wanted to lend my praise to Sauce Digital (Morgan ) and hoping to see this game take off like it deserves. Richard
Thanks Rich. I think the reason its not instantly on the front page, and in the top 10 is for two reasons: 1. football is not everyone's cup of tea, which is fair enough, despite this game being more about "Touch" than "Soccer". Maybe i should market it as "Finger Sprint"+"Paper Toss"+"Fifa"="Touch Soccer 3D" but i think thats an injustice, as its a good game in its own right. 2. I dont really have the time/budget for marketing it like the big boys, so its not in everyone's head. Unfortunately that comes with being an individual developer. However... i dont mind too much because that happened with Nano Rally, and eventually it hit the top 10s, and is good enough to keep the money coming in. cheers Morgan
Nano Rally made front page though I believe plus, Big Albie really took a liking to the game All in due time though. I really think Touch Soccer 3D is one of the most innovative, unique to the platform, games that I've seen or played since...well it's probably cliché, but since Touchgrind(*thought this seemed like a familiar though* squarezero used the same analogy on pg 1, just going to show great minds think alike) Anyhoo, all the best to you, Richard
I've been playing this game since it came out and it's excellent. A footy game with something new. It's quite difficult when you initially start, but it all becomes obvious after a few games. Total freedom to score some fab goals, it's quite difficult to get some good passing going though. Excellent little game. I'd really like the swap player button in the bottom left hand corner, rather than top right. Would it be possible to put that in as an option?
just bought it. I find the change of perspective when you switch player a little confusing, but eventually I'll get used to it. Is there a mode to control just a player for all the match?
I believe that you can make player switching manual, rather than automatic. That way, you would switch only if you hit the button on the top right.
