Touch KO 1.1 is very laggy on my iPhone 3G.

I got it 'cos it's on sale but I've not really played it yet. I want to enjoy this game because it *looks* great - but the devs are really messing up with this - first version pointless because it's hard to lose. Second version same as the first except laggy...

I'll deinstall and wait for an update that makes this fun and challenging I think. Shame about these problems - this was a title I was looking forward to initially.

    Jamie.

v1.1 is great on my iPhone 3G. It has no lag except if you pause the game and the phone is locked by itself. Once it gets locked and unlocked, usually the lag creeps in. That said, this game has never been smooth on my iPhone 3G in the first place. It's alright, but definitely not like Real Racing, Wild West Pinball or Snail Mail.

I don't know if the devs actually changed anything or if I'm seeing things, but spectators animation look more fluid, there are more attention to details like the in-game fizzles (during match) and slow-mo look much better too (not sure about the 'moving' mouth though :p)

I meant adding sweat to their texture. Or, maybe it's not even the texture, it's the glossiness of the material. Could be tweaked to make it look a bit wet as after watching heaps of boxing match clips, no boxer really has dry skin like in the game.

finally update is out! Did they make dodging easier? Had a real hard time getting that to work in the 1.0. Fast paced game + tilt control = bad.

People seem not to understand it, you have to nudge your iPhone to the left or to the right, not just tilting it. Like, move it to the left, move it to the right. Don't tilt or shake it.

Adam, maybe a tutorial video would help?

Just checking.. were you playing your music playlist and now you're not?
I notice the game's framerate drops a bit if we listen to our own music, and turning on airplane mode helps a bit - though I never play in airplane mode because that defeats the purpose of having an iPhone, lol.

You can't manually change the difficulty. They tweaked the AI to 'automatically' be more difficult.

The AI has changed with the update and you can tell when you are fighting late in your career. It's more challenging and more enjoyable but still needs some tweaking. It will be much better after the next update with body shots, etc. My fights actually go 3-5 rounds now with more wins by KO instead of TKO (I am on my 47th fight in career mode) and I actually get knocked down and have even lost a few fights.

Anyway it's a good update for now and I am glad that the devs are working hard to refine this game.

ugh, AI is worse. Im at 146 KOs and the AI is just bad, its not even harder. I can still win in 1 round too.

Hmmm. I don't see the difference in difficulty??? I mean, I just knocked a guy down in 15 seconds by throwing left and right hooks. And what about the multiplayer they promised us? What happened to that? One of the reasons I got this game was to play multiplayer...

I kinda hate when devs do this :-(. They announce a game, lie about when an update comes out,(sometimes it doesn't) just to lure customers. After all, 4x4 jam was supposed to get an update what happened to it? I don't see the update????

I don't know if the devs are active in this thread or not, but I would love to know how long it might take them to finish version 1.2 I would like to find out just so that I know if it's a good idea to wait for 1.2 before I start playing again.

For future projects, I think this game could have been a massive hit in the appstore (top 10 for a while) if you guys had waited to realease a more polished version (like 1.2). Relasing an unfinished version kills the hype and many people who would have bought it or told their friends about how great the game was, never do. I'm sure the final polished verision of Touch KO will be one of the best iPhone games and I just hope people do buy it then.

Also, I do enjoy replays and had a request. Sometimes I KO an opponent with a great combo and would like to see a replay that can take this into account. If one or two punches knock down an opponent, keep the replay as is; if the fighter is taken out with a flurry, I would much rather see that without slow mo.

Also, I'm sure people have mentioned it but a more complete character customization were we can choose hair, body type, eye color weight category, etc would be awsome!

    Thanks a lot.

yea, if this game was complete at the start, it would have stayed in the charts longer. People saw that 3 1/2 star rating and it just dropped off the charts. though it was nice to have it featured on the front page, the game itself was the reason it didnt do good on the charts.

to the dev: what was actually improved with the AI? I can still win a match on the first round and Im at 150 KOs...the AI is the same. I see no improvement at all.

hmmm is it just me who sucks at this game? Well I'm at match 20 or so and after update each fight goes to around 2-3 round. How do you beat a 'turtling' boxer? And is it just me that the game is delayed ' tap left left left.... punch punch punch) on 3g phone?

Yeah, good point, and it's hard to recover once your star rating is low. That is one element you will not be able to update.
