I was reading some of the UK reviews on the app store, some people demand so much for so little it's rather amazing. You are paying £1.79 for a portable boxing game which is rather good for playing on the move, it's not fight night round 4, and even if that game did appear on the iphone it would not be £1.79.

I'm loving the hell out of this game, despite the shortcomings that have already been discussed. It's super fun as is, and it seems like most the problems will be addressed with updates. Totally worth $3 IMO, any more though and I might have been disappointed. If the game improves, however, it can easily sell for more. Great so far.

One thing I'd like to see is some touch control for dodging. When both your thumbs are on the screen blocking, you could keep them on the screen but slide them to either side in unison to dodge in either direction. Your thumbs relative movement would coincide with your fighters upper body. You could even slide down to lean away from punches. That way, you could duck and weave around their punches and throw your own when you have an opening. This could also work with the "upper and lower screen quadrants for body shots" idea someone had earlier (fantastic idea Btw). Anyway, seems like a fun mechanic that could work well for this game. I just can never really effectively use dodging right now, unless its just luck :)

The only other thing that sorta bothers me about this game is how the fighters auto move around the ring. But at the same time, finding and implementing a solution to that might over complicate an already fun game, so it doesn't really bother me. Focusing on throwing punches, blocking, and dodging really works best for this game. But to me, the two major things (besides whats already been talked about for updates) that would push this game to amazing are body shots and more intuitive blocking.

One question guys: can we play this game without accelerometer? I hate swinging my phone around in bus.

Very good point. I totally agree.

  14. Got this and now have a record of 40-0 and won the championship belt so it's kinda getting boring now till they add an extreme level....

Once you get to the hard level boxers they all do the same 1st round...

They move twice then let guard down so you can either hit 4 straights to the mush or 1 uppercut or one round the side...Then wait 2 more steps and do the same again to get there energy down...

I usually let them take me to 2,3 rounds then k.o them cos if you try and hit them too much when there gloves are up you lose yourself a lot of energy, not that it matters much cos too easy to win even tho i mucked up once and got knocked down cos i was being too cocky :D

Still worth the money tho even if a tad easy so far...Lets see the extreme boxers and see if it's still the same...

I feel the same way, I have 51 KOs (but my highscore only shows 35, please fix). The AI just isnt impressing me, and what I hate the most is they dont even attempt to hit you while your blocking. As of now, I still can win a round in under 2 minutes without spamming the jabs. I've only been to a second round once in my career.

Im still playing a couple rounds a day, but its sucks that my highscore didnt update to what I have in career. It only keeps track when you are logged in, so whenever you dont have wifi on because you want to save batteries, your KOs wont update into your highscore whats bullshit IMO.

Great graphics, but shallow gameplay and the AI needs some rewriting. Still fun as of now, but I bet it wont last long.

PS: What do you do for the first achievement "Tricked Out"? I have yet to get that. I do have everything else if people need help for one.

This sounds horrible. They clearly didn't playtest this properly before release.

Have the developers indicated they're aware that their game is as tough as a newborn baby? Be nice to know there's some hope that one day this will become a challenge...

No, there is no way to activate dodging without using the accelerometer. I have no idea why you'd want to though, in the game's current state there is absolutely zero reason to dodge. Or block.

Of the three boxing games of notable mention that I own, Touch KO is the best. donkei, this game would be very playable on your commute. As the poster before me says you just don't need to use dodging. I think he's exagerating some saying no need to block.

    Thanks for answering guys:)
I don't like the sound of 'we dont need to dodge' just because the current AI is too weak. What if they update the AI and we have to dodge a lot?

Also, can you play it while laying on your side? Or would it make your player lean to onr side the whole time?
