iPad Touch KO (now v1.1!)

    Dudeyou must not be very far because the punches on my game are very fast and look strong. The replays however look like your not even touching th guy (except for the hook which I always try to finish with.

    I still give it a 7.5/10 fo first release

    I PMed Matt Mechley about a bug that seems to be specific to the 3G S, which is basically that if you get knocked down the game crashes. If you have a 3G S it seems that you will get this bug. He said that there was only one codepath specific to the 3G S which added some graphical enhancements so it should be easy for them to find it and fix it. He said that they will try to get it in the update which has already been mentioned (AI changes). I realize that this only affects a small portion of the TA crowd, but I thought I'd share what I'd found...thanks to the developer for being active on the forum.

    fwiw, I played the entire career mode through using a 3GS and didn't hit this bug. I did get knocked down a few times.

    Oh, that's interesting. I may have jumped the gun on saying this affects every 3G S user apparently. I had PMed the other member on this thread who posted about the same problem, and he said he was also a non-jailbroken 32GB iPhone 3G S. The message from Mechley sounded like a 3G S specific thing, but it looks like it doesn't affect ALL 3G S users. Thanks for the info, Arn...wish I was on your side of the fence, but I'll wait for the update and in the meantime try not to get knocked down!

    Right -- I believe it's ONLY affecting 3GS users, but not ALL 3GS users. (It may depend on which fighter you choose) At any rate, if the problem is where I think it is, a fix will be in the first update.

    Good news for 3G S users...Matt suggested I try a different fighter and it worked like a charm. I had only just begun the professional ranks, so I didn't mind wiping the other guy out and starting fresh. If you have a 3G S, and experience(d) this bug, go with a different fighter. I believe the fighter I had problems with was the "Street Fighting Man" character, but I'm not completely sure. Either way, it looks like it'll get addressed in the next update...the more I play this game, the more I like it.

    I've outlined the serious AI flaw I identified to Mr Mechtley, and he has said that he thinks he knows what the problem is and should be able to solve it. Glad to hear the devs not only know their game so well that from just a description of a problem they can try to solve it, but that they are actually willing to try! Refreshing stuff in this day and age :)

    Weight classes would be an awesome addition but maybe a little too much for this game?

    I dont think that would be too much of a pain to do. At the beginning of your career you choose your weight class and your opponents can be bigger or smaller depending on your weight class i think that would be really nice. One thing this game really needs is training with mini games and other types of things.

    Yes definitely. Minigames that help you train would be great.

    That would be fun...I don't see it in the first couple updates. If the game makes solid sales (remember it's a small team) I can see them adding it later.

    Hmm... Any chance of a training mode with a boxing bag? If the game already has this, someone tell me.

    The review is glowing and not to take away anything from the devs who obviously put a lot of work into Touch KO, but the reviewer didn't even talk about the AI which is what needs tweaking.

    Doesn't have it that I've seen. Iron Fist has a VERY limited version of that, but this is better than Iron Fist IMO.

    its not the AI,its the stamina

    for me its not the AI who's weak
    the problem is the stamina
    i already finished the amteur lvl nd i nver reached 2nd round
    its either i lose bcause of tko or i win by tko
    mybe they cn make boxers to last long wth the punches
    other thngs dat dey should do...
    more animations,minigames(lke wat u guys said),body shots,nd controlling ur boxer's movement in the ring
    dats all 4 me nd dis would be a great great game
