Its safe to say there's still alot of work that needs to be done to put Touch KO in the "excellent game" category. I just hope we see some worthy updates or this game will go down to me as one of the most overhyped iphone games of 2009.
online mode would be nice. Is there any training in this game? (bags, workouts) Like in most boxing sims. Does your body get more 'toned' through out your career?
Who ever made Punchout, should make a Punchout for the idevice. That would be awesome and the graphics would be good too. Since they are cartoony and not realistic at all.
http://toucharcade.com/2009/07/15/glu-mobile-reveals-alley-alligator-family-guy-uncensored-and-super-ko-boxing-2-screenshots/ Glu is making Super KO Boxing 2. EDIT: Don't know anything about it but they are going for the Punch Out look.
I am very satisfied with Touch KO. I would like to see better ai, body shots, overhands, and haymakers.
ugh despite all the bad reviews, I think Im going to get it. I hate it when devs focus more on graphics than gameplay; the lack of boxing depth really turns me off. But I might as well grab it before the price increase (if the devs live up to their word; a lot of Chillingo's games with "introductory sales" soon fall to $1 without even raising the price).
I don't know why everyone is so disappointed with Touch KO. It's a great game and although I would have liked body shots, the game itself plays very well. Sure there are lags and crashes, but over that wall is a natural game for the iPhone.
Y is it that the replays are all the same its like there preset depending if you ko with jab or uppercut or hook and we need to be able to skip the replays cuz there not even instant
Ermmm.... Touch ko or quitit!? Both are same price, but different genres. What do you guys reccommend?
QuitIt! is more of an entertainment app rather than a true game. It's definitely fun, but not something you're going to spend a lot of time on...it's a funny stress reliever.
You can call your player any name you want. There are no real boxers in this game sadly as it would be pretty expensive to license everything.
Hmm well my first impressions are kind of positive. I'm semi enjoying the game, though it does lack in AI and combat depth. AI should atleast punch you when your blocking so you can do some dodging and counter. I hope they also add some body shots in the future. Overall, its fine for $3, but its just lacking in replayability because there truly isnt much to do other than the 3 types of punches. It needs to focus more on the boxing aspect in future updates. Now if it had online, that would be pretty sick.
