Did someone seriously mentioned being knocked down in this game... this offers absolutely no challenge at all.. 13 fights all wins by first round KO.
Was any play testing done on this title at all? Unlikely.

Impulse purchase and now wished I had waited for Big Albie review, but being such a big fan of boxing, couldn't wait. if you are listening Chillingo.. update please to address the difficulty level.

I also like Iron Fist Boxing. Touch KO doesn't have as much of an aggressive tone to it as that game.

Pretty game, but too easy. It offers no challenge - like many a girl I used to date way back when. Nice to look at, even nice to play with for a few minutes, but ultimatly not enough there to keep you interested.

Do you have both games? What do you think of Touch KO?
People keep saying they're amazed by the graphics but I suspect it's just the effect of big marketing and hype built by Chillingo. Iron Fist Boxing has a great graphics too, especially when it was released 8 months ago.

It has bloods and cool finishing moves, body shots, etc - that this game doesn't seem to have. Yet somehow it lacks that X factor which I don't know what.

The grapics of Touch KO is OK, but gameplay sucks, really. I feel myself like slowpoke - boxers are moves like they're in the water, slowly. And, yap, it's really easy, no competition at all (on easy and medium). After 10 plays it became so boring. I'll delete it after making a video.

It does get a bit more challenging when you're a pro. Always take the fight against the "Hard" opponent. On this difficulty I find they block a lot, and pulling off combos is difficult because after the 1st punch lands, they block and/or dodge. So you have to wait for an opening and unleash a shot or 2 and gradually wear them down. The 3 guys i've fought have at least made 2 rounds, in fact the last took me to 4!

Hard is tough because your energy is way too affected by punching. And I dont mean short term energy I mean the long term. I was so close to knock out by round 5 because i was punching so much. Even though the guy barely hit me.

But still, why the actual gameplay is so slow? It's not boxing - it's rock paper scissors.

I think it gets fast around 9th fight. My jabs are really fast And hooks sneak in and land awesome combos and counters

I would suggest because of the tap and gesture based touch screen controls. Think about it - touch controls have never been as responsive as physical buttons, so I think they made a conscious decision to slow it down a bit. If it was too fast I think the controls wouldn't be able to keep up!

Besides the obvious AI difficulty and forced replays issues, there is another issue that looks terrible (IMO) in an otherwise graphically impressive game.

    THE RIDICULOUS LOOKING RAGDOLL KNOCKDOWNS.

They look so out of place, and if it weren't for the fact that they're somewhat comical, i'd probably enjoy the game a lot less. I have no idea why the devs decided to use some kind of gimpy-looking ragdoll physics for knockdowns/knockouts. I think, among other things, that's something they definitely need to address.

All in all, it's a solid game with nice graphics/controls, and I think Albie put it best (BTW, great review as usual Albie) when he wrote " Touch KO is a good game that has potential."

So in the end I have to ask myself, do i regret my purchase? No.

Do I think THIS version was worth the wait and has lived up to the hype? No.

So if the AI was ratcheted up a bit but the devs left the ragdoll knockdowns would the game be a must have boxing title for all iDevices?

I like the game, and can echo some of the concerns about AI, but I have a question about a specific bug, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced it. I am running a non-jailbroken 3G S, and have found that EVERYTIME I am knocked down, the replay shows but then the screen goes black except for the stamina bars and round timer. It never goes to the countdown where I would get up. It's frozen there. I restarted the device before I played it the first time. I restarted after the bug. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same problem. Has anyone else experienced this? EDIT: Sorry, I see this has been discussed before...I guess I'll read through ALL of the posts!
