Yeah, lots of people want that. They should make it like the game Spore. Your able to use your own pictures to change your creatures skin to your picture.
Personaly I think the ninja board doesn't look too appealing. It's more of an advertisement. But I haven't gotten the board yet, I've only been able to reach 2.4 million. D: But if I get the board, I'm gonna replace it. =D

Easy No, much easier ! You can just make a new board file in the boards directory in the app. In my case I created a 016_pro_board.xml file in that I defined the name of the board texture file and the description pic file and a few technical values (just took those from Black Devil). So now I just have a 16th board in my selection without losing another one . To answer your question with the name: It's a tranparent png file that I just edited from another board (deleted all content and wrote my own text). Just google "Touchgrind custom board" or something and you'll find a tutorial. I'm on my iPod right now so I can't insert the link...
Oh, I thought you had to keep the limit of 14 boards. So I replaced the boards. I've renamed my boards and gave them the Ninja boards stats.
