Hothead recently ran it's inaugural Kard Combat tournament, rustling up players from our own community over on the Hothead Kard Combat Forums. The tournament went so well that we've decided to bring the excitement of competition to the Touch Arcade Forums! The Prize Poster Signed by Richard Garfield - Co-Designer of Kard Combat Approximately 2'x3' and if you suck up enough, we might just frame it for you too! You'll get the choice of one of the following three pieces of art. Tournament Details The tournament starts on Monday August 22nd. - NEW START DATE! You'll play a single game a day until you lose two matches (OR WIN!) The tournament is double elimination format: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-elimination_tournament) A public www.challonge.com/kardcombat website will be setup showing the brackets and results of each match for everyone to follow tournament progress. All players will be expected to follow the website and make efforts to complete their matches on a daily basis. Players slowing the tournament progress down will be given 8 hours notice to complete their match or risk disqualification/elimination from the tournament. I reserve the right to make my best case decision on how to handle these issues if they arise in the tournament. I will also be lenient about eliminating people for this reason if at all possible. All regular matches shall by default be single game eliminations The final match will be the best of 3 games.
