Yeah, that kind of is worrisome too. That's one thing other than big companies like Telltale, you never really know if a game will do enough to continue future "episodes" or "chapters". Hell, Ash II got the support of Konami behind it and it's been stuck after chapter 2 for the last year and a half.
I second Spiral:EP1, definitely one of the best this year. Also, I add my vote to Warhammer Quest and X-Com. And for another game to add, I nominate Ravenmark:Mercenaries.
Yes, I'm gonna do something similar. I'm not spending enough time on the really good games because I buy too many and give each small amounts of time.
Badland. Beatleap. Reaper. Tale of a pale swordsman. Mimpi. Icycle. Duet game. Cyro. Crabitron. Octagon. Blek For now, until I remember something that I've forgotten.
spiral Episode 1 is definitely eligible even if pending future episodes. Please edit your original nominations post if you decide on including it.
Yes I wanna spend more time with the good games, than that I play 100 of average games. I also need to do other things.

So undeadcow, what's the best way you go about tallying the nominations? I know you have some kind of system. Do you use Excel or something? Feel free to PM me with any tips so when I go about doing the indie poll, hopefully, I can do it right. It's interesting to see that even though they are kind of "big" games, both Oceanhorn and Badlands, are indie games. But more nominations doesn't always mean it will win. If there are 60 people, 41 of those didn't even have Oceanhorn on their list so they may vote for something else.
BTW, although there's some that haven't nominated in this thread, I think there's still way fewer who have in the Indie thread so if you have indie games (see the first post for how we're kind of judging that), please post your nominations http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=212954 I'm even giving you an extra day --- until January 8th!
Spoiler I'm copying and pasting nominations into Excell with game names in one column and single count of each user who nominated any game in the other than sorting each alphabetically. The games nominated and user columns don't correspond at all. Spoiler Before sorting game titles I delete any generic words like "the" or "a" and double check common appreciations (like SW:KOTOR versus Star Wars: Knights...) so everything is grouped together. Sorting game titles alphabetically makes counting much easier, I use a middle column to put a tally for each title next to the last nomination then finally sort middle column by frequency (expanding to first column to retain game titles) to get a frequency order with corresponding game name. Spoiler Sorting users alphabetical helps me make sure I didn't double count, or include multiple user nomination posts more than once. Also from the main General Games page, if you click the number of posts in a thread it'll show how many times people have posted to help check for multiple nomination posts and cross reference Excel list for any accidental omissions. I'm trying to keep a list of nominations ongoing but will probably have to start from scratch after deadline due to any later edits.
Just checked the list on the first page and 3 of my nominations are not on it? Should I repost my nominations?
