Here's a quick tally of nominations: Angry Birds 7 Infinity Blade 7 Orborun 7 Bravura 6 Tower of Fortune 5 Incredipede 4 Help Me Fly 3 Gentlemen... Ricochet 2 Riddick 2 Sardonyx 2 ---------------Top 10--------------- Captain Bubblenaut Leap Leap Leap Dragon Finga Towncraft
Orborun all the way, its extraordinary, right up my alley... I recommend it to everyone, its amazing.
Never ran into a fatal bug as others have raised, and despite the obvious flaws (chips and timers), IB3 took most of my time this week, and i've been enjoying most of it. The higher difficulty than the previous titles is a good change here, but the chips and timers are sometimes too distracting. Having said that, IB3 gets my vote this week. Other games i've been addicted to this week are Orborun (fantastic ball roller) and Bravura Quest Run. I've been more addicted to another game, but it will have to wait its turn for my GotW vote next week
Due to an error in my tallying nominations Gentlemen... Ricochet was accidentally included in the poll despite not meeting a majority for nomination (it received 1 actual nomination and 1 post inquiring about eligibility, which I mistakenly counted). There's no option to remove an item from the poll so we will have to let users decide on the ultimate GOTW outcome with Gentlemen... Ricochet included. Fortunately Gentlemen...Ricochet did not knock any titles out of consideration (only other titles with 1 vote were excluded) and while G...R may be no more deserving of inclusion as those other games (Dragon Finga, Leap Leap Leap, Towncraft, and Captain Bubblenaut) there's no response available other than to proceed with Gentlemen...Ricochet included. My perception is that a title with low nominations accidentally included is not likely to significantly sway the poll but I request users not vote for Gentlemen...Ricochet unless they feel unable to be swayed away from their passion that it is the GOTW. Thank you to Ojtitus for bringing this to attention.
Easily Orborun for me as well. Fantastic ball-roller, probably would even go as far as saying it's my favorite ball roller ever - definately on iOS. Challenging and I think quite unique in it's genre. Bravura and Incredipede are also good games, but Orborun takes the cake.
I'm sorry, but can somebody give me a quick rundown on how this whole thing actually works? More specifically, when the nominations start, how I can participate in them, and how - if even - it correlates to the GotW on the main news page.
My vote went to Tower of Fortune 2, really glad that it's universal and I enjoy the rogue like elements mixed with the slot/rpg mechanics.
Its all on the first post of he main page... users nominate 5 games they find worthy, mods count the votes, makes a poll with the 10 most voted ones and users vote away. At the end a mod eliminate suspect votes and the winner is announced at the next GotW thread. No relation at all with the main site, this is the forum, as in power to the people xD
Didn't know if it could overcome IB3, but glad to at least see Orborun holding its own in second place.
Same here. I voted for IB3 because that is by far the most time i've spent on a game recently, and im enjoying pretty much every bit of it, but im really glad Orborun got some attention. I wish there were more votes for Bravura Quest Rush too, but it looks like this week didnt have a lot of votes going on.
^^^ Bravura is great, but having to choose between it and Orborun, the choice is obvious. Edit: This week will be tough: TEC 3001 or Boson X? Hard choice, both outstanding.
Yeah, weird, this is the fewest people voting that I have ever seen. Especially on a huge week publicity wise cause of Infinity Blade 3 and the iphone reveal, and also Angry Birds Star Wars 2 coming out. Plus alot of other good games like Orborun and Incredipede.
