I voted for Swoc: Of Sword and Blocks; it's a tense endless combat based match three game that requires manipulation of the board to approach (or avoid) enemies after buffing yourself enough to handle them. Multiple character classes play around with different conventions, despite the lukewarm art and over-done match 3 style it pleasantly surprised me.

I didn't know about this, will check it out now =)

  4. Woohoo the little underdog Plax is in the lead. Consider the small underdog, Indies need more love in ios gaming.

Why did no one nominate gear jack black hole?!

Now it's a hard decision between Zombie Gunship and Plax

I have been playing more than reading and posting, Plax and Swoc looks really nice, will get them now. Glad this thread is here, for exactly this purpose...

Gear Jack BH... is... in my opinion... boring. No real emotions while playing, didnt feel anything at all except "meh"... And its freemium. Endless 2D sideways runners needs to evolve and fast, they are so stagnant right now...

Meh, neither did I. I just picked up Metal Slug Defense just to check it out after being TA's GoTW. It's better than I thought it would be, but didn't even make the vote.

Will check out Zombie Gunship Arcade. Others look decent but I've kind of had my fill of twitch and puzzle games lately.

"Swoc" gets my enthusiastic vote this week. Check out the thread for more comments.

Botanicula looks really good too, but I haven't played it yet.

My vote went to Talisman, I will be playing this game for years to come, one of my favorite board games.

Never got Swoc because I played the web version and I honestly didnt have a clue of what I was doing, and I tried... -1, +1 and blocks dissapeared, my character moved alone and matching swords didnt do anything... but seeing on the lead might get a second chance.

Be very carefull at reading the instructions in the intro, that might help you to get the core game. And it's only 3 screens to read.

To be honest, I think Plax deserves the lead for now. I made the mistake to call friends on this vote from FB, and 2 of them signed up only for this vote. While it's very kind from them, I read it's not the spirit of this poll, so they shouldn't be counted as votes, sorry about that :(

Don't get me wrong, I still believe Swoc is better, it's been my baby for months :D It has downsides (poor graphics, a few crashes now fixed and a lack of instructions) but a good depth out of a basic gameplay.

Ok I will do that again. I must have overlooked something... The graphics look ok, not bad. Dont stand out in the crowd but its also not the most ugly one at the party xD

As for the poll votes, well, the best thing you did was recognize it, you are forgiven :D
