The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll are in [subject to further review]... First Place: Prison Life RPG Second Place: Flop Rocket Third Place: iNethack 2 Last week's GOTW thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=256184 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible (even if they aren't listed in this original post), weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote for it. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members with some activity. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. 4) Game updates, no matter how significant are not eligible for GOTW. There are enough new games to nominate that haven't been considered before. Notice of this poll may be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New" tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ [Will better format later if time allows, been busy] Blockwick 2 Thread Cozy City Thread Criminel [iPad only] Thread .Decluster Into the Bullet Hell Thread Epic War TD 2 Thread Grace of Letoile Thread Lastronaut Thread Picross Pirates Thread Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic Thread RAD Boarding Thread Saboteur Diver Thread Space Simulator [iPad only] Thread Spring Ninja Thread Twilights Last Gleaming [iPad only] Thread Vietnam 65 [iPad only] Thread Credit to Ap0calypse, ImNoSuperman, TriggyWiggy, Arta, TheFrost, and EchoSeven for the GOTW legacy. How i wish i could vote for Space Marshal's update, since Space Marshal is my week's purchase. Although i did buy a $1 IAP in Rad Boarders to get rid of the ads.
Decluster Dig a Way Blokshot Revolution Lastronaut Not so sure yet which it will be for me personally, but as a non-specialist and fast quitter in puzzle games, Dig a Way is probably the best i ever played...and still going. Decluster has it all (besides GC) in this niche genre, and if the name Cave would stand on top of it, it would get way more attention that this game, without a doubt, absolutely deserves. Blokshot blows all the twitchy games of the last few months easily out of the water (arguable, i know).
.Decluster - Into the Bullet Hell Blokshot Revolution Dig a Way Lastronaut RAD Boarding .Decluster is a premium shmup, lacking Game Center. Awesome neo-retro graphics. Dig a Way is a very nice puzzle game with a very generous pricing model. No ads, 18 free levels, $1.99 to unlock the other 3 packs, and achievements. Lastronaut is a totally free runner with excellent pixel graphics and particle effects. Lots of explosions. No ads or IAP. Also Game Center leaderboards and achievements. The two devs are very active in the forums. RAD Boarding is a really flashy, super fast game along the lines of Time Surfer and Tiny Wings. No Game Center ATM. Didn't try out Blokshot Revolution until this morning and finally had a better chance to play it this afternoon. Fun and stylish high score chaser!
Here is the tally of nominations: Blokshot Revolution 8 Decluster 6 Rad Boarders 4 Dig A Way 3 Lastronaut 3 Blockwick 2 Pixel Heroes 2 ------------------Poll cut-off------------------ Spring Ninja Vietnam Epic War Criminel Saboteur Diver Breaking Farm
The poll is now live, participants are encouraged to discuss their vote. Developers are not eligible to vote for their own game and cannot recruit votes from outside sources?
