The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll are in... First Place: Particle Mace (14 votes) Second Place [tie]: Radiation Island (6 votes) Second Place [tie]: Ramboat (6 votes) Last week's GOTW thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=254238 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible (even if they aren't listed in this original post), weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote for it. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members with some activity. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. 4) Game updates, no matter how significant are not eligible for GOTW. There are enough new games to nominate that haven't been considered before. Notice of this poll may be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New" tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ Ammo Pigs Thread Beast Busters Thread Combat Elf Thread Dark Echo Thread The Detail Thread Dragon’s Lair 2: Time Warp HD [iPad only] Thread Evoland Thread Immortal Odyssey Thread H.P. Nobody Said It Was Easy for me. I'm playing Odd Bot Out too, but for me it's one of those puzzlers that seems like it's probably more fun to design the levels than to play them. After 30 or so levels, most are still over very quickly, and the ones that take longer tend to be because they're fiddly rather than complicated.
Boy, don't everybody vote at once! Haha. I'm gonna try to start posting links to all the eligible games from now on to try to get more action in here. I'll admit, it was a rather underwhelming week (for me anyway). However, I obviously don't have the time and $ to try every single new game every week, so I'm sure I missed out on some good ones. I too played Odd Bot Out but it just didn't click for me either, Bez. It was a close fight between Evoland and Dark Echo. DE is really good but I chose Evoland for it's unique RPG style. I like that it's not a deep RPG that would take 40 + hours to complete. Also love the way it moves through so many different mechanics and styles from old times to new.
