As of right now (in another surprisingly uninspiring week): Trial by Survival Mikey Hooks Abyss Attack
Isn't that only available in NZ? Probably will need to wait for a worldwide release to nominate it (I want to try it myself!)
My Noms are: 1. Lumberwhack. 2. Butterfly Sky. 3. Melon Drop. Why is Butterfly Sky not listed, maybe you can put it up. Thanks.
Since Gurk III was released on a Saturday is will be eligible next week; the cut off for nominations ends Friday. Good call though, it looks like a promising title.
Can't choose between Mikey Hooks and Trial By Survival :/ I'm thinking trial by survival because its free to play style actually works, letting you buy the portions of the game you want to purchase, or just outright unlock everything. Trial By Survival Mikey Hooks Worms 3
ABYSS ATTACK - (admittedly bought the bundle which makes the game awesome, my favourite shmup along with Phoenix HD) TRIAL BY SURVIVAL - (again bought survival pack which made the game twice as fun for a gamer like me, haven't finished yet but made it to day 14) LUMBERWHACK - (awesome fun tree defense with no iap and much more strategy involved than first appears) MIKEY HOOKS - (I'm not a die-hard Mikey fan but I can see exactly why both games got five stars, & I love the bonus menu in Hooks) WORMS 3 - (Infinitely more playable (for me) with a d-pad and jump button than Worms 2)
Mikey Hooks Lumberwhack seems to be mentioned here enough times here but the mail game thread doesn't have much activity. Is the game just a fun, standard defense game or does it bring something new?
No iap for a start. You have to choose very carefully where to invest your upgrades and decide which strategy to use each level, eg. - do you upgrade each animal evenly, pour your investment into just one or two, or upgrade the animals weapons and (permanent) power ups? There's a varied selection of beasts with different abilities and you choose which ones along with which weapons and power ups to bring into each battle. One bit I liked (and have used a few times) is if I think I've made a mistake in my upgrades and can see a better strategy by making a different skill stronger earlier, you can just hit 'new game' and put the new strategy to the test straight away and the game doesn't feel like a chore at all to restart. And I love that there's no pay to win, just skill and a bit of thought. Hope that helps give a bit more of an idea.
