Hello, We would like to present you some information about our game, which we were working on for the past 1,5 year. Tormentum is a surreal adventure game, featuring moral choices. The dreamlike atmosphere featured in the game was inspired by the works of a Polish painter, Zdzislaw Beksinski, and a recently deceased Swiss painter, H.R.Giger, among others. The game's final appearance was also greatly influenced by the worlds presented in such games as Demon's Souls and Dark Seed. From this mixture we created a world full of darkness and depression. Unfortunately, bigger problems seem to arise. The flying ship lands in a big castle and the main hero is soon imprisoned in it. This is how this surreal story from the border of dream and reality begins... Please support us on Indiegogo: Traversing different areas the hero learns the dark world in which he was imprisoned. Visiting new lands, he slowly starts to uncover the truth about himself. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Content: - iPad, iPhone and Mac version (also PC and Android) - Dark adventure from the border of dream and reality - Unique, hand-drawn illustrations - 3 lands, differing in terms of architecture, weather, and creatures dwelling in them - Moral choices which will have an impact on the game's end - A variety of riddles integrated into the game in a form of different locks, traps, gates, etc. - Outstanding soundtrack with more than 20 tracks - Characters with unique personalities, which will help or try to prevent the hero in reaching his goal - Incredible atmosphere - Languages: English, Polish and (other chosen my our community) - 4-6 hours of gameplay
Your artist was inspired by H.R. Geiger? Edit: nvm, I read the notes lol. Sorry I shouldn't have just looked at the pictures.
Hello gorgeous! Normally I'm not very much into adventure games, but your graphical style is right down my alley (yes, immediately thought "H.R. Giger" too; not to forget Luis Royo, my alltime favorite), looks great and got me interested.
Interesting I liked the idea, however I didn't get the flavor of the game, how to play it, what's the final outcome of the game. I think you still have lot of things to change and improve, but it looks interesting.
Yes, H.R Giger and Polish painter, Zdzislaw Beksinski. Check out his work: http://art.vniz.net/en/beksinski/
That guy draws some seriously disturbing stuff... thanks a lot for pointing him out, added to my collection.
We have 2 animated gifs for you showing parallax effect in our game. It takes several layered planes to get that parallax effect and it was a nightmare for us to make these backgrounds.
Today our game has been greenlit !!! After 23 days! Tnx for support! We still have to finish our indiegogo campaign. If you like our game and want to help pleaseee share link to Tormentum campaign: http://igg.me/at/Tormentum/x/7378278 Thanks ^^. PS. Hey, folks! Yesterday, I posted a beta gameplay video: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel What do You think?
Looking good, gives off a nice creepy vibe. How's the interface on an iPad? That cursor looked tiny. And if the full-screen video is any indication, some items (like the bone arm) could be a bit bigger, to make it easier to tap them.
A few days ago we have released the demo so if you like you can download and play it by yourself: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k2t3gobibpwole3/Tormentum_demo_win_ENG.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/aj1plavbbycsgbe/Tormentum_demSX_ENG.zip I have also a good news! We've reached our goal of $9,000 on Indiegogo http://igg.me/at/Tormentum/x/7378278 Thank you so much for your support
