But it didn’t have controller support. Not sure if this version has it, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Maybe in a future update. It felt bland with the story or what there was of one, but I’m going to give it another try and see what’s changed and if it sucks me in more this time. Rocco SE Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2020 267 258 63 Male Modern Mime Artist Austria https://silentrocco.net #9 Rocco SE, Oct 11, 2022 Care telling what makes this one a standout compared to all the other games in the same vein? squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #10 squarezero, Oct 11, 2022 Will do — but first I want to play the latest version (I did the beta about six months ago). sharfaust Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2013 339 75 28 #11 sharfaust, Oct 12, 2022 Nope, no controller support. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #12 Rocksaint, Oct 12, 2022 Okay. First impressions. This has to be hands-down the best and most polished ARPG on the F2P mobile market. I was part of the beta way back. Played that quite a bit but bounced off it. Story didn't work for me, too much irrelevant loot, too much going on with skills and talents. Overall felt like just another online-only ARPG tbh. But this release is way WAAAAAAAY better. Very polished. Fully voiced (mostly) so a much greater level of immersion into the story and world. (Yes, I actually started caring) Admitted, some of the ARPG problems are still there, like a lot of loot and skills/talents with too much info. (Or maybe I'm just too lazy) But the QoL improvements, sheer gameplay and performance make up for it. There is moderate heating and battery drain but I guess with those graphics and 60fps gameplay, that is expected on a device like mine. (iPhone 12) I haven't played a lot to say anything more. But from what I played during the beta and what I played now. I am highly impressed with the journey it has made. Now it actually feels more close to the Torchlight franchise than just another F2P ARPG among the whole hosts of ARPGs on the mobile market. I’m playing Youga so far. Although I’m not sure how I feel about seasons on this game, with it saying start again in a new season every 3 months or continue you with your char on the main server. Will you be loosing out by not playing the seasons or can you just play on the main server forever? I don’t really enjoy starting over. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
