Totally agree. I've been making sure to go to pocket gamer every day and clicking through from links there, I don't know if it makes a difference revenue wise but the site that's running the promotion should be credited and gaining any benefits from extra traffic etc.
And tomorrow's givaway is..... The Nightmate Cooperative!! It's not free in the U.S. yet, so give it a couple of hours. But it's definitely going free tonight.
I suppose the releases are good but I don't really like Rogue-like games so 2 of 4 games being Rogue is a bit of a let down (for me). And isn't Doug Dug almost like a Rogue game? You dig as far as you can then it resets? It's nice they're giving them out for free though I'm sure others will like them
Good looking out, though that's definitely not PG's pick, they gave it a 8/10, but it's been free before. The Nightmare Cooperative earned a 9/10 and has never been free before.
Oh nightmare cooperative, I have that game but never really got into it, never got what the fuzz was all about that game. I'm not really into rogue like games, maybe that's why I didn't like it.
Out of the good roguelikes we have available on iOS, the Nightmare Cooperative was one i never really liked. Felt more like a puzzle game like Threes more than a roguelike which is what the expectation was, obviously not met.
Doug Dug is more of an endless runner where you manually choose your path, carefully avoiding weak foundation and collapsing dirt. Then you are scored by how much treasure you have earned along the way until you get buried under dirt..
Ooooh the nightmare coop that's cool pocket gamer are choosing some pretty good games, no? ## And to answer dantbro's question I use appticker and look for a game that's got good reviews and that is likely to be pg's pick # p.s others may use appshopper or something like that
This doesn't seem to be working for me. I live in Australia, and it doesn't seem like any of the games are going free.
Same here, except I use AppZapp. I find it much more reliable and comprehensive then either Appticker or Appshopper. Along with the best UI by far.
They should be, but I'm not sure if they're based on UK or USA release time. Sometimes it seems random. Obviously if released later in the day, may on only show up on the NZ or AUS store for just a short bit. If you have any questions just hit up pocketgamer. Still waiting for them to release todays.
Wow just searched appzapp and it looks AMAZING! Better than the others only thing is it needs ios7 and I'm using iPod 4... Although I am gettin an iPad for Christmas (mini 2) and ill get it then #
