Bloons is probably worth getting, but be prepared for some very annoying user interface decisions. For example, you have to hit a tiny little button after each level to start the next level. You will find that you often just sit there after a level until you remember to hit it and half the time you will hit the pause button right next to it be accident. You also have to hit a tiny little button to select which "tower" to build and you have to hit a tiny little button to select a special power. Lots of times you will hit the wrong one which is quite annoying Tiny little buttons next to other tiny little buttons play a large roll in this game. Regards, Michael
the new update made the selecting of towers a lot better, it never comes into play for me, and I have fat man hands.
Its certainly better then before, but it is still the worst selection mechanism of all of the tier-one TD games. Has anyone here ever selected the wrong tower in Beseigment or Fieldrunners or any of the great TD games? The fact that if you concentrate you will only get it wrong once in a while is not too strong an endorsement. Plus it still has that annoying "hit a tiny little button to start the next level" thing. Great thread. I've been playing Defender Chronicles, fieldrunners, Sentinel and the two GEO games, and I was looking for some new challenges. Just got the creeps, besiegement, and star defense to try them out from these recommendations. I might pick up bloons TD as well, but it just doesn't "look" that entertaining. Might wait to see if it goes on sale.
the creeps! simply wonderful gameplay with graphics+theme to boot geodefense (+swarm) the most challenging out there, with prettie colors fieldrunners/7 cities/besiegement the oldest out there, classics I personally did not like star defense and tower madness I'm thinking of trying defender chronicles though. how would you rate its difficulty?
