Bloons TD Defender Chronicles geoDefense The Creeps geoDefense Swarm I guess what I like about Bloons is the speed of the gameplay, it starts off slow but eventually you've got like a thousand balloons hurtling down that path. It's the same reason I love Defender Chronicles, the chaos gives it a real tense and exciting atmosphere. ...also how the balloons contain other balloons, real nice twist.
I mean I know fieldrunners isn't the best but i still find myself playing it every now and then but bloons I'm pretty sure I am going to hit it then quit it after the first round about
I thought 7cities was okay until I realized all you need to do is build a crap load of arrow towers. That sucked the fun right out of the game.
Not sure how long Bloons will keep my interest - but Defender Chronicles I go back to a lot especially when it updated and all. It is nice to see though that at least in what I would say is an oversaturated category of TD, there are different ones that might appeal to different people. I mean look at the differences between DC, The Creeps and even Critter Defense! Now we have balloons to add to the mix. Otherwise not sure that this would even be something to be able to be debated! TD is a category that would be very fluid for me as to top choices. There are so many variants I would change my mind all the time.
Big Albie has spoken. Now go and buy every single one of these games if you don't already own them. His word, is law. I haven't played Besiegement or Elemental Monsters though. Hmm, loved Sentinel 1 & 2, and 7 Cities was good but never got really into it. Defenders Chronicles was amazing. All of them have very nice graphics though. 1. Bloons TD (Tie) 1. Well i have alwYs been asking my self this question coz i love td games....here is my list after long long thinking from best to less better 1-elemental mosnters td ( better than any other game by a large distance lol) 2- the creeps 3- defender chroncklea 4-field runner 5-geo swarm
I have definitely spent the most time on Defender Chronicles. With the quality updates that have been released so far, this game rarely gets old. I think they have set the bar for TD games in its replayability. The developer also understands that those us that have played the game for a long time eventually loses interest and that they have upped the difficulty with each update for that very reason. This game is not only the best TD game, but the best overall game on my iPhone (and I have over 50 games).
1. Defender Chronicles (minus the horrible/painful/irritating voice acting and replaced with similar speech audio from Warcraft III): the only game I probably ever played that kept me playing over and over (just to get the gold stars rank for each map), almost obsessive. 2. Sentinel 2 (also the most polished looking User interface and gfx) 3. Creeps ( haven't played it for a while but the uniqueness of being able to destroy the field to gain money was great) 4. Tri-Defense ( only after the 1.0 update, which added a new tower, and like 3 more maps, it still runs so unoptimized, but the explosions and graphics are probably some of the best. It has the potential to possibly become my favorite after a few more updates and some desired changes/modifications ) 5. NinjaTD ( hated it at first but now that I got the whole Gold magic and Magic grabber down , it really has grown on me ) runnner ups: Critter Defense, 7Cities, GeoDefense, Fieldrunners, Star Defense, Moonlight minions Biggest let down of all time: Navy Coastal Defense ( as of first release that is.. ) 2nd Biggest letdown: Geo-defense Swarm ( great game, just could not get into it like the first one )
1. Defender Chronicles (great replayability and unique gameplay) 2. Elemental Monster TD (loved it while it lasted, but replayability is, well...) 3. GeoDefense (gotta love the explosions and so many creative levels!) 4. The Creeps! (liked the art and some really fun elements) 5. 7 Cities (it was so long ago I played it when it first came out, but I remember loving the fact that the towers gain experience and level up as they kill enemies and can even acquire skills) Like many of you, I've purchased so many TD games already. Next purchase decision to be made: Bloons TD?
My Top Five I know a lot of people will disagree with me but, Fieldrunners is my favorite. I came to that conclussion because I've killed the most hours on that game. More than all other TDs combined. I own almost every TD in the store and to me nothing compares to it. I know that's an unpopular answer, but the only reason why it's unpopular is because Fieldrunners is so popular and had been for so long. So it's mainstream and people think they are cooler when they pick a more obscure title, be it movies, music, etc...I just don't think you can compare path based TDs to open feild TDs. There is more strategy and imagination involved when you can lay your own path. Instead of just pick ideal spots for your towers on a pre-determined trail. Don't get me wrong, Fieldrunners is not perfect and there is a lot of things I like better in some of the other TDs. But like I said, I played Fieldrunners the most, not anymore as much. But for a ling time. So here's my top five. 1. Fieldrunners 2. GeoDefense Swarm 3. GeoDefense 4. Sentinel 1 & 2 5. Elemental Monster TD Creeping it's way in to the pack is Bloons TD. I didn't include Defender Chronicles because I think it's too restrictive. I like it, but I do think it's trying to be too many games in one.
Well actually, I was talking about the units' voices during the actual game which annoyed me; the Knight, and Hero , especially the Archers. But the Sean Connery Narrator voice thingy wasn't that bad except for the fact that it was is a bit too much over-exaggerated and it's like three times the volume louder than the other games audio. (First time I heard it, I friggen jumped... it reminded me of when my college professor would be speaking to the class ( a big, big class ) and would be leaning over next to me to hand me something while speaking to everyone, blew my ear out , made me cringe ) ...oh and I guess I can retract my statement about Naval Coastal Defense being the biggest let down, since a little while ago the update got released and a new map among other things, looking good so far ...
I got bored with TD games before anyone of you ever heard of it (Starcraft maps, and later WC3) so I don't know why I keep buying so many TD games (like 10 or so), I guess cause everyone recommands them so much and they're so cheap. Anyways, only TD which I enjoyed for over 10 minutes was GeoDefense. Haven't tried Swarm yet, so... 1. GeoDefense
