Linkin Park's new album is awful, Katy Perry being hot doesn't mean she's good ;) Eminem is good, but only before his break and the other two, well...

Are you kidding? Linkin Park's new album is fantastic. Their just wow amazing. You can't be serious! The lyrics are great and the beats are excellent. Listen to Burning in the Skies, Wretches and Kings, Iridescent, The Catalyst, Waiting for the End, Robot Boy, and Across the Line. All from the new album, and all amazing.

Katy Perry is really attractive. I admit, some of her songs aren't good, but a lot of them are. For example, Teenage Dream, Hot n Cold, TGIF, The One That Got Away, Firework, Pearl, and Who Am I Living For. There are others, but these are just some.

    Eminem is EPIC!

Also, Green Day + Blink 182 are great.

Linkin Park's new album is nothing but trashy techno. Katy Perry is a mediocre pop star. You lose all credibility when you refer to Eminem "EPIC", as good as rapper as he is. Everyone teeny-bopper likes Green Day and Blink-182.

    Credibility?

And who decides this credibility, you?

    He likes what he likes.

while I agree that everybody is allowed the freedom to listen to what they want --- Katy Perry is far from hot and closer to barely attractive in a porn star sort of way.

I've gotta agree with the negative Linkin Park vibe going around. Go to one of their gigs and there's nothing but a sea of hoodies and hair dye... all shorter than you are. I liked their first album just for being different, but they seem to have settled down to the point of laziness now.

    yes
Whoever said LP's new album is trashy techno has only listened to one song by them. And their songs mean a lot more lyrically to me.

"trying to catch up mother****er" (hint, hint)

When they come for me - Linkin Park

No offense, but that sounds cheesy as hell. We're entering Limp Bizkit territory now.

This thread makes me laugh, no matter how "alternative" you think you are we all listen to what's been put on the radio.

A thread like this does nothing but attract music snobs. People are just going to start listing the most indie/obscure musicians that they can possibly think of, bands that almost nobody has ever heard of before, simply because they somehow believe it makes them seem cool.

I really, really hate music snobs. All they do is get on my damn nerves.

    Amen.

I was hoping to see a few bands I've never heard of so I could look on youtube for some good tunes I've been missing.

All I see is snobbery by those who think they have somehow found the musical holy grail and everyone else is an idiot.
