Except for the first 3 or so, this is in no particular order - Avenged Sevenfold - Between the Buried and Me - Underoath - August Burns Red - As I Lay Dying - All That Remains - A Day to Remember - The Devil Wears Prada - Soilwork - Dream Theater (Havn't heard too much, but what I have heard is amazing) I've also been listening to a few other bands lately, like Alestorm, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, and more.
You, sir, have just created the best list yet. I love every single band on that list, and the number one spot was the perfect choice. Well done.
Nah, definitely classic rock. I used to listen to a ton of classic rock before I got into hard rock/metal, and Bon Jovi was one of my absolute favorites. All the classic rock stations in the area play Bon Jovi, and the band was around during the classic rock period.
No I get where you're going-but when you think "classic rock" don't you think the slightly more....I don't know....mellow kind of bands, like The Beatles, Journey, and The Rolling Stones. There's something so....brash about a song like You Give Love a Bad Name-I don't know, it's hard to explain. It's just that usually I find classic rock soothing and refreshing, while Bon Jovi doesn't really fit those-it's more outlandish and edge-of-your-seat
Oh, see, I view classic rock completely differently. I include bands like The Beatles, Journey (Which I happens to be one of my favorite classic rock bands), and The Rolling Stones, but I also include stuff like AC/DC, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, etc. For me, it doesn't have to be mellow at all. If it's rock from around the 80's-90's, yet isn't classified as hard rock or metal, I consider it classic rock.
I think Bon Jovi fits more into the 80's Hard Rock category while the Beatles and Rolling Stone qualify more as Classic Rock.
