Looks fake for sure, but the 4 button thing could work o.k. I dunno wtf you guys are rambling on about, all you need is that and tilt. Tilt forward kick would shove-it etc etc... But yeah looks fake, why have those extra camera angles? The menus looked nice though.
If it's real or if it isn't, it doesn't really matter if activision won't publish it. They own the exclusive rights to publishing a Tony hawk game.. PERIOD. Would be cool if it's real but unless they pull all references to TH out if the game it'll never see the light of day, even then it might not be legal to distribute. Sorry to burst your bubbles lol
For Everyone's Information This is indeed 100% real. Not sure if links are allowed/im sorta new Link: http://www.148apps.com/news/tony-hawk-iphone-100-real/ --- Quote: Earlier today, this video started making the rounds, raising quite a buzz. The video shows what is reported to be Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 running on an iPod Touch. Make sure you watch it in HD for the best picture. We can confirm that its 100% real. Thats right we had a chance to talk to an inside source and got the full story. This is a full port of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, soundtrack and all the levels included, running flawlessly on an iPod Touch. In the video, the white cord you see coming from the device is running sound directly into the camera. The developer was tight lipped as to whether or not wed actually see this port in the iTunes App Store. But what we do know is that if the buzz raised over this game video is any indication of the buzz that the full app would receive, the people clearly want it. In a year when well see some of the biggest game franchises coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch, we want to, no we NEED to see Tony Hawk on the iPhone as well. By the way, happy birthday Tony Hawk! Thanks to Touch Arcade for bringing this game to our attention. --- This should settle everyone's doubts about this game. It maybe ported but it wont be released on itunes. Regards, shap08
Oh now Im totally up the creek now. I guess people have more respect for IGN so they get the benefit of the doubt?
Hmm the video had me convinced Although, if it really was leaked I'm sure activision would deny it...
Do you think that this is part of the new "Tony Hawk" game that Tony will talk about in the upcoming GT episode - http://www.gametrailers.com/player/49040.html http://www.gametrailers.com/player/49165.html ? BTW I ask Mr. Hawk if he has a comment on the video, but he remains silent.
Well, it is 148apps talking to an "inside fellow" while IGN actually talked to Activision. I mean really... who is this sneaky inside source that knows more than the creator of this game? Not sure about you guys, but I don't think you should be having high hopes for this one. It may turn into another Need for Speed, and you'll be waiting forever.
You have such a way to put these things Danny! I honestly don't know what to make of it, and I'm enjoying Vans Sk8 too much to be too fussed about it, but with 3 words you got me listening again!
I wanted to believe this but then I watched the video. It appeared all real until he goes to the menu and selects Sound Levels near the 3:12 mark. There's a little jump there and when he plays with the music level it doesn't appear to change at all and the SFX level sounds all choppy and fake too. I was kinda laughing at all the "fake" comments before I watched the video because I expected it but now I can't help but agree.
Don't play coy danny, either you have proof or not, I believe you don't have proof, but to shut me up I would love to see it! Even if it is real, I highly doubt we would actually see it in the app store....
