My only problem with the console-version of Rainbow Six is that they employ what I refer to as MP "God Mode." That is when you allow players to setup and control server lobbys. That is a bad idea. The host quickly develops a God complex, ends up making stupid little rules, and starts kicking people from matches, either for not following their lame rules, or if the host starts losing, they can boot the person/persons who are beating them. In RSV, hosts would threaten to boot people for "camping," which is completely subjective, or they would hold idiotic "pistol only" matches. Call of Duty BlackOps for the PC is player controlled and people make these stupid "crouch only" servers. No MP game should ever allow players to take control of ranked match lobbys. Luckily, I've seen no indication that anything that absurd would ever happen on an iDevice game. I'll sediment be watching this thread.
There are of course always a few exceptions, but for example at racing games they aren't good. In pretty much ALL Asphalt games you go way to fast to not be constantly scraping alon the side of the track, wich isn't that much fun.
Hopefully it is like SWAT: Target Liberty from the psp Does anyone of any games like that on iphone ?
Yeah and rainbow six is all about online and coop so im pretty sure it will definitely at least have coop. Can't wait! Insta-buy.
For those who think this will be similar to MC2, I doubt it, Gameloft's early shooter title last year was a TPS I believe
No, Rainbow Six is all about tactical singleplayer gameplay, or at least it used to be. Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 aren't good examples of what the previous games were like, although they are still fun, just less tactical and more focused on multiplayer. And anyway, I've completed RSV2's campaign twice now and haven't touched the multiplayer.
And because Rainbow Six is an awesome brand?! Everyone at Gameloft is stoked (excited) for this game, including me - I'm still a huge fan of the original from back in 1998. What's interesting, and might be missed out of the news releases, is that this is the first Rainbow Six game on iPhone & the first Rainbow Six game since 2008 - so we've got a lot of fans to please, and some big boots to fill
No, I agree 100%. Thats what it used to be. But today it's more about coop and I doubt gameloft will go back to the old roots and make it anything like then. I expect it to be just like the new ones, Vegas I mean.
I just finished reading Tom Clancy's Dead or Alive which features Rainbow's final mission with John Clark and Ding Chavez so naturally I'm extemely excited to play this.
Who doesn't know what stoked means? Oh yeah that's right almost everyone that doesnt live in Hawaii oh and Cali well mostly surfers use that term anyway.
