I think what Pug is trying to say is that Gameloft may be proffessional, but what they produce doesn't show it. They seem very good and their games are overhyped, and for such a big company, what they produce just doesn't match up. Pug, correct me if I'm wrong.
Gameloft games have been great lately. They've really stepped up to the plate to push the platform forward while everyone else is focusing on 99¢ snackware. HAWX was impressive as hell, I'm not sure what you got out of the preview article that is leading you to believe Gameloft's developers aren't "professional".
I agree, their latest games have been superb, but they're really proffessional and their games could be better...
True, but, they are pushing it forward in a technical aspect, the games, have very little replay value compared to some of the .99c 'snackware'. They feel like tech demos, not really putting the most effort on the gameplay, but on the technology.
I think that you are in the extreme minority there. Most people will agree with me when I say that Gameloft have been consistently releasing great, high quality, console-like games. Without Gameloft we wouldn't have the great range in good quality games that other consoles have.
Second that.Their earlier efforts weren't frankly that great but most of their games from MC onwards have been awesome.
I also agree with that, but what they are capable of doesn't show in what they produce, and sometimes the small minority is correct
Yeah, I would like to see the accelerometer controls also. I think they will work well for this game, the joystick just seems a bit jerky and inaccurate. Also some more gameplay footage of the cockpit view would be nice. The close up view that the video started off on looked good too, but I'm not so keen on the second view with the 'far' camera.
Uhm, exactly what Gameloft games are you referring to? And which $0.99 games do you feel offer greater replay in a similar genre? Are you comparing a $0.99 match three game to a game that attempts to bring part of a console experience to a mobile device? Please provide substantive examples to your rhetoric. What one cannot argue though is that Gameloft continues to develop at the vanguard of the iDevice potential, forcing other developers to step up their game.
Ugh. MY OPINION though is that Gameloft don't produce what they are able to. They're a great company who produce good games, but don't make the best that they can. IMO.

In some measure your perspective is true. Realize though that in any sensible market economy, one will invest to an extent based on expected revenue return. An individual iphone game really doesn't make that much, now that there is so much app store competition...
Gameloft produce good games.. But nothing more. They have good graphics, good gameplay, good controls.. But all that components are not combined together..
So how exactly are they put together? Surely graphics, gameplay and controls must be combined to make a game, or else it isn't a game. What exactly do you mean?
