Hey, glad to see you guys on board. Obviously I'm very pleased with TT. I know Chillingo handles marketing, but you would probably be well served quoting some of Arns front page rave on your App Store page. IMO, Touch Arcade is THE premier gamers site, this site makes or breaks games, and you guys got the two biggest thumbs up here; Arnold Kims and Big Albies. Btw, check out my iTunes review, by rich_952000
@TwoTribes Awesome game, really like it. One small suggestion... as an adult, I can't possibly listen to that schizo music for more than about a minute. After turning the music off and then the volume up you can hear all the high quality sound effects that the music was covering up. Would be nice to be able to adjust the levels of the music and effects independently rather than only 100% on or off. Thank you.
And that would be a +1 from me as well on that idea. I think independent and separate volume sliders for both music and sound fx should be a "must" in all games myself. Or at least for the music... sometimes I do like to listen to the music, but keep it low, while still having the sound fx nice and loud.
Well I took the plunge cause of everyone saying how good it is. Although I'm not fond of being a chicken collecting my long lost eggs. But I do need some platformer / puzzlers on my Ipod, hopefully it will be good.
Just bought it, played the first couple of levels and I can already say: The gameplay is amazingly smooth! The videos made the controls seem very slow-paced, but as a performance demanding gamer I'm enjoying them so far. I wouldn't have prefered a virtual D-pad at all - these controls are perfect. Naturally, I say this as a person with rather skinny fingers, but for me they're great. When I first saw the videos of this game I thought "How can collecting eggs be any fun at all?", but I noticed the hype. The hype got me interested, the reviews pulled me there and I finally bought it. So what makes this game interesting? The puzzle part was expected, and that's really what this game is about, but the smooth gameplay and animations and the overall feel of this game makes it well worth it already. Of course I've only played a tiny part of the game, but I'm kind of hooked already. Something to do till Zenonia is out
my only complain is that the gameplay is not so smooth at 3.0 Beta5 (i know it's beta). thank god i have also an ipod touch 2Gen.
I know this is a little bit size tracked, but you're all talking about that 3.0 firmware. I know nothing about it, so I need to ask a few things Why will it change controls and what does it have to do with Touch 2g? I suppose older games will still be compatible with the new firmware?
1) i'm not sure i understand you... change controls? 2) yes, they will fit the 3.0. that's a must from Apple.
a.) this game is amazing b.) animations are crisp c.) challenging and rewarding d.) runs perfectly smooth e.) buy this asap k thks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iWvlZHJg1Q&feature=related... this is livin'. And the place to get it is BCF, the App Store's best bunny & carrot game!
We've finally played most of May's releases. What a quick month. 1. Zenonia 2. Toki Tori 3. iFighter May's been a good month. I'm loving Toki Tori, smooth animations and great visual flair. I love the music too, so I wasn't bothered that sliders weren't present.
I caved! Graphics are blinding! Really really good. I'm only on level 7 so everything is still pretty easy so far as you work your way through the intro. In some ways I wish games wouldn't do that, and instead just explain what is what on an instructions page, instead of beefing up the levels and making the game look bigger than it really is. Also, I get a stutter in the music which is driving me nuts. The only other game that did that to me was Numba. I am selfishly hoping that others are having the same problem, so that it is a bigger enough problem for them to sort it out (and yes, I re-started). Overall though very happy. It makes companies like Sega, with their recent lame Sonic offering, look so stupid.
