Wow, I'd never heard of Quackshot before, but yeah that intro scene looks almost exactly the same. lmao
Awesome! Random levels have really grown on me here lately. They used to be a major pain in the butt, but I guess devs are really tuning the progression difficulty nowadays. Super excited for this!
I played this game in its beta stage, I liked it. Every character has a distinct gameplay bit, and there's a mix-and-match item system to mess with. It's really distinct from the previous Flash version, lots of changes and improvements for the iOS platform.
@Kepa Thanks for the push. It's been a long way since, and I really appreciate all the advise. I hope the game turns out to be worthy of your time when it's finally out @LastWindow & Jumpman Yeap, quackshot was really good for it's time, and the plunger gun was just a genius mechanic. Any fans of retro platformer should definitely check this out. And just a quick update, we sent the game in for approval, but it probably take some time for the review, and then some more after for ourselves to prepare the release. Its my 1st app, so I have no idea how long it takes, but yeap, it's definitely COMING.
So the thread's been left empty for a while... well, I really wanted to post up some of my sketches and stuff, but I got held back by some personal stuff. I'll still try to do it though, hopefully in the next 1-2 days. But here's the good new - it's been quite a while, and we finally have a release date now. Tobe & Friends Hookshot Escape is coming this Thursday, 1st March 2012! I'm really nervous because we've put so much into this game, I really hope you guys will like it. And while the countdown begin, let's check out a new gameplay video (I figured the original trailer didn't show the gameplay clear enough)
This week just got even better. Thanks for the trailer. Are you holding the iDevice "vertically" to play?
That could possibly cramp your hands since the dpad and jump buttons are so close. Why no options for holding horizontally?
