Toaster Swipe is out now! TouchArcade Game Thread | Download from iTunes Twitter | My iOS releases Level editor is available on Testflight beta! PM or post your email to be added. Community levels: ok6w7x by jordanfwc, ok764w by Jayg2015. Hello, I'd like to show you something I've been making for a while now and plan to publish in January (now February!), 2017! Hopefully, you can help me to make this game better for you! The game: * you swipe - toaster jumps in the direction of the swipe * get toasts to get a small boost and charge stronger jump * avoid obstacles, bounce off bagels or walls * collect as much toasts as you can * multiple endless levels of varying difficulty * outfits and hats 2017 add ons: * custom puzzle-y hand-made levels * built-in level editor * level sharing If you have an idea for a fun obstacle or outfit for a toaster - let me know! I'm currently working on iOS testing version and will add a sign up form as soon as it will be up (Monday or Tuesday)! Would be great to get some feedback during the holiday season. Let me know if you're interested and I'll PM you when it'll be up! Website: Toaster Swipe Breakfast Game If you're looking for something more violent, I made a pig fighting game called Iron Snout+: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=295381
Got it! Thank you for your interest! I'm waiting for iTunes approval (they're probably busy with all the Christmas games right now), going to add some iOS-specific UI fixes and add the emails I got from this forum to the testers.
Build was approved and I started iOS testing! PM me your emails if you'd like to be added during the next testing round!
New level is up for testing! + tweaked balance of other levels too + lowered screen shake on toast + removed "exit" button which would freeze the game
Started working on a level editor, which will help me to create shorter challenge levels and maybe allow player-made levels in the future!
Good news, a huge update with custom levels and level editor is now available for Testflight testers! Let me know if you'd like to be added for beta testing.
Ok764w is my beginner map. Game is looking very good. Can't wait to see the full game uploaded. This dev is doing really really good work on all games
Thank you, Jayg2015! Glad you liked it and tried out editor too (that's a really nice easy level, hope you don't mind that I added it in the post for people to try out). Let me know if you'll have any feedback. I'm already going to add "Next level" button in the next update, since that was most requested. Might tweak jump speed a little bit, so I could finalize it before starting to make more levels.
New build is up in Testflight! * added one finger scroll to Level Editor * editor will scroll when object is dragged close to the top or bottom * context buttons will not move out of the screen anymore * post-upload menu * various usability improvements * "play next level" button * social sharing PM me for the invite!
Small update: * added multiple custom levels to the sync * added screenshot sharing functionality * fixed a crash on startup which would occur when device is offline * small UI changes
Another update: * added settings screen * music and sound volume sliders * level sync improvements * levels can be unlocked by watching an ad
Interesting and looks fun, if I get it you dont need to touch the wall like Tofu (the ninja tofu game) to change direction? Also it's not an endless climber right?! There's a goal to reach?
Good questions! Toaster jumps at the angle of swipe recharging after getting collectibles/powerups. Aim, reaction & some planning are at play here. Walls are safe to bounce off or slide down (depending collision angle). It has both 3 endless levels as well as small hand-made challenge levels where you have to reach the goal (if level is made well you can also go for 100% & try to collect all the toast). There's also a level editor, so you can make those challenge levels, upload to game webservice & share the code around.
So you're a toaster trying to get as many bread as possible by swiping without having to bounce on the wall, that's better than I thought, it's more challenging and gives you more possibilities, I like it more that way. Level editor is a great great idea, being able to share and play other's levels reminds me of maze (full name?) where you could create your own maze.
By the way, a toaster trying to get breads reminds me a lot of one of the most WTF trailer I've ever watch recently with a movie about killer donuts ^^ https://youtu.be/kUz0cSfsDMo
