Only a few on the leaderboard so far, but I have a feeling this is gonna blow up once people take notice. Thanks for the recommendation, Roger, and for starting the thread, Jared. *looks around* *hears a low, rumbling noise in the distance* *thread explodes* I'll never be as good as QS at that. THE NETHERLANDS #5 ROGER-NL, Aug 6, 2016 It has six worlds with 9 levels each and it's great fun, it has a move count but it's also time based, it's mostly a puzzle game but if you go for the best times it becomes an action game, and I love puzzle/action, that's my fave genre puzzle/action/physics games. This game is about picking up blocks and (re)place them somewhere else (one at a time), thus creating a walk-able path to get to the exit. The path needed typically will be ramp like and gap bridging. I played the first world (9 levels) and it is pretty nice so far. I have encountered two types of blocks now: one that suspends in the air, and one that obeys gravity. A "move" means pick up/let go of a block and if within the pre-established limit, you get three stars. Moving around with your player doesn't count as moves. I hope that in later levels the necessary number of moves isn't increasing too much, but that is something to be discovered. There is only a time based leaderboard (less time, means higher ranking). It gives the impression that the game is not a puzzle game, while in fact I think that is the more important aspect of the game. It also makes it too bad that the more obvious leaderboards (puzzle metrics) are missing: - level progression (any number of stars) - level progression (three stars) - move count based on pick up of blocks - move count based on player moves Roger is 20-30 seconds ahead of me on world 1, and it is hard to see how I could improve that much to bridge that difference! Maybe his Risky Bee practice gained him better skills? ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #8 ROGER-NL, Aug 8, 2016 Yeah, you need to be really fast, there is one player on the leaderboard who is faster than me, his times are nearly impossible. I really like the two aspects of the game, first you puzzle and after that you go for the fastest times, it's actually two games in one. And your right everybody should play Risky Bee, it improves your reflexes ha ha. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. Just wanted to say thanks for playing! ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #12 ROGER-NL, Aug 10, 2016 Hi and thanks for a clever game. One minor thing is that you can't undo a move so that you are getting stuck sometimes and have to start all over, the rest of the game is great though. RareDropGames Member Nov 4, 2015 9 0 0 #13 RareDropGames, Aug 10, 2016 Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for the feedback, yeah in hindsight an undo option probably would have been a good idea, especially for some of the more complex levels later. saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #14 saosijs, Aug 10, 2016 Welcome aboard! It is always nice to be able to interact directly with the developer. Any comments on the other comments made here so far (apart from the undo, which indeed would be great to have)? RareDropGames Member Nov 4, 2015 9 0 0 #15 RareDropGames, Aug 10, 2016 Thanks, yeah it's definitely cool to hear what players think of the game. Was just having a look through some of the comments. So the main things seem to be making it universal and also better rewards/feedback for getting under par move counts? I can have a look at getting it to fit nicely on the iPad although it might take a little while. I'll have a think about how to give better feedback for under par scores, possibly give an achievement if you manage it? It's only possible on a few levels so it would probably need to be something like that I reckon. Amazed by ROGER-NL's times, impressive! THE NETHERLANDS #16 ROGER-NL, Aug 10, 2016 Thanks, I work hard for those times ha ha, I have now 1 minute and 25 seconds for world 1 and I don't think it can be faster, maybe level 9 can go 1 or 2 seconds faster, I got now 37 seconds on level 9. Universal mode would be great but it doesn't bother me that much. saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #17 saosijs, Aug 10, 2016 - Undo button would be really cool to have. - Universal ... well, it plays and looks perfectly fine in 2x mode on my mini2, so for that it is not needed. (initially I couldn't find the game as iTunes defaults to "iPad only" when searching for me) - Leaderboards related to the puzzle aspect, for example simple progression and move count as indicated in earlier post (move count leaderboard automatically rewards under par scores too) - Separate effects and music volume controls (and currently there is a bug causing the sound coming back) - Allow device rotation ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #18 ROGER-NL, Aug 10, 2016 Yeah leaderboard for move count would also be cool specially for the die hard puzzlers, I have several levels were I score under par. Why are there so few people playing this game is beyond me, I find this game among the best 25 games that I played this year, it's really fun and challenging and all things that make a great videogame. RareDropGames Member Nov 4, 2015 9 0 0 #20 RareDropGames, Aug 12, 2016 Thanks for the feedback! I'm looking at doing an update to fix the sound issue and I'll take a look at the rotation. For the undo button if I can find a good place to put it and it doesn't affect the difficulty too much I can probably add that. I almost added move leaderboards but I thought that the best players would have very similar move scores because there's a finite number of solutions, but based on your comments I'll think about adding it in a later update.
