A couple of random TQ tips/facts, which shouldn't really spoil anything for anyone. If you think they will spoil your personal enjoyment of the game, then don't act on them. I have had Epic (blue) items drop from the very first Satyr enemies just over the bridge in the Helos village area, the first main area of the game, in Normal difficulty. My character was level 4 at the time. The two absolute confirmed Epic drops here were bows with rather obvious but mildly amusing pun-based names called 'Ram Bow' and 'Telliam's Will'. I'm assuming other Epic items could possibly drop just as early. It's definitely worth repeating that area, including the shaman kill until you're at least level 4. The fastest boss farming opportunity is Spoiler the very last boss in Egypt. Simply save your game in the Hanging Gardens (first Orient level), then go back through the golden portal to the final Egypt area. Walk up to the locked door and kill the boos *through the door* when he come close enough. I did it will melee, but I'm assuming magic or close-range bows would work just as easily. The door will unlock when he dies, with several chests right in front of you, with one always being a Majestic.
Hardcore achievements please Note - spoiler tags used in case new TQ players don't want to see late game boss names, etc. It would be great to have achievements for reaching certain in-game milestones without ever dying. Completing Greece on Normal with 0 deaths is pretty easy, some other obvious Hardcore challenges would be: [Each difficulty] Complete Greece Complete Egypt Complete Orient Defeat Spoiler Typhon Reach level 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 65 Defeat Spoiler Manticore Defeat Spoiler Hydra There are probably a few more possibilities, but those would be good to start with. Note - this is just a request for achievements, not for the addition of an actual hardcore mode, which I know isn't even remotely likely.
Odd issue Is anyone else playing this on a Galaxy S7 (non-edge)? I have a strange problem on the main menu screen. Often, it will displayed oversized, with the right hand side completely cut off. This makes it impossible to touch the button to load my game. A restart (sometimes 3 or more) will fix the problem, but it is extremely annoying. I've emailed DotEmu twice, but have yet to receive a response. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Was having trouble with first Telkine with my spirit/warrior. Managed to get TWO soul carver swords drop and dual weilded them to take him out. Very cool. Plenty of epic drops around if you farm a bit. My other characters took him out easy but the spirit guy had real probs. Dual wielding ball maces of necromancy very cool too- cuts through undead like butter.
I couldn't believe how easy Typhon was with my Oracle. I was dying to minions leading UP to him if I wasn't careful, but he was a piece of cake. This was be finally finishing normal (level 33).
Yup my Druid guy breezed through nearly all the bosses and end boss on normal. Used mostly ice bolts and chain lightning.
solution for missing stash OK, for all people here playing TQ who have found a nice blue or green item which just doesn't fit the character who found the item but an alternate char I have a solution (at least if you are using a rooted Android tablet like I am. But I guess it should work on all devices if you can access and copy the games save files to another system). What you need to do is: 1) Install the original Titan Quest for PC 2) Install TQVault (Can be found here http://titanquest.4fansites.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1804&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) on the PC with TQ for PC installed 3) Now you need access to the games save data on your mobile device (tested with root access on an Android device - here the save files are located in "Android/data/com.dotemu.titanquest/files/preferences/saveddata/main". Each character has its own directory 3) Now copy all the characters directories "_save1", "_save2", ... to your PC into the save directory from the PC version of TQ (should be "<Username>\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest\SaveData\Main\" 4) Start TQVault (might need Admin rights) and start moving items from one chart to another. When finished click "Exit" 5) Now copy the modified Save directories back to your mobile device overwriting the old saves (NOTE: Make a backup first! I take no responsibility if something goes wrong here!) 6) Fire up Titan Quest on your mobile device and start equipping your char with its new cool equipment I have tested this with the Android version of TQ and it worked fine for me. Game started up without a problem and the items I moved from char A to char B were correctly moved. But of course there might been unwanted long term consequences, so try this at your own risk.
Just finished Minotaur. Level 20 ranger. Tough long fight. Still using 2 blue weapons - Storm Bow and Deathweaver Legtip - both got around level 7 or 8. I am hoping that some new weapons will outperform these at some point. The minotaur maze was a nice area with a good mix of monsters.
The labyrinth is actually quite a good place to farm blue items, along with maenad and other monster camps. Never seen the Deathweaver yet though. Cool.
For those of you on android, I fixed all lag issues by lowering the dpi and resolution of my phone, no root required only adb
They said no to me on Twitter quite a while ago. Doesn't mean they won't change their minds eventually but I wouldn't hold your breath.
