I already have a sick legendary spear some scorpion tail thing, plus legendary shields. But even if I respec to the spear skill I am just stabbing single targets in melee range, which blows. With my bow I stay at range and murder stuff safely.
For mobs, I totally agree. For some of the bosses, especially on legendary, kite'n'shoot got incredibly annoying and difficult (at least, it was for me). That's actually why I re-specced from bow/spear'n'shield to dual wielding for my Slayer. I even have a couple pieces of the Tracker set, but some fights in legendary were just silly difficult without the ability to pick a target (the minotaur boss, any of the rooms with multiple dark obelisks, the undead boss who summons all the wraiths, the Yerren boss in the mountains). Also, is there something that I was missing that decreases the time to take a first shot once you stop moving? Melee weapons are WAY faster, even the slow ones. I know that Scorpion spear -- Amazon will work a lot better if you have points in the various hunter damage trees. It still didn't wreck crowds like my bow did, but the only way my Slayer could take multi-obelisk rooms was to pop a potion, bum-rush one with spear and shield ready, kill it, then retreat and use bow to clear mobs, rinse and repeat.
I have Game Center Achievements of Killing things and making money constantly scrolling at the top of the screen. Known bug? Anyway to get rid of it?
I just don't know how to gear anymore. I got a legendary bow, finally. Dps loss compared to my green with a rune...but it also has +1 to all hunter skills. I 2-3 shot everything in legendary but my sheet dps is only like 600-700. I have no idea how people are getting these thousands of sheet dps without multipliers like crit chance and crit dmg on gear.
Lvl50 ranger update. I really underestimated how good +X all skills is. I have a total of +5 to all skills and am ripping up legendary, just got to Memphis. Sheet dps under 1k, I still 2-3 shot stuff and movement speed keeps me out of danger. I can take a surprising amount of hits and shots as well. The only way I can die if paying attention is if I get stunned.
Level 55 Slayer: With dual wielding, using my primary weapon set, I'm up to 3500 dps. If I trip Call of the Hunt and use a Battle Standard and have Study Prey up, it's WAY higher. Unfortunately, it's hard to get all my buffs going with the UI issues. The beginning of Act 3 is still thoroughly kicking my butt, though -- if I'm not really careful about being swamped, I die way too easily. A lot of that comes from the lag on triggering skills, though -- if Study Prey engaged the first time I hit the button every time, I'd have way better kill rates. And emergency skills like War Horn don't help if you can't trust them in an emergency...
Loot Tables & "Dumbed Down" Loot - Revisited I am currently playing thru an Oracle. I had just moved on to Egypt (normal) when I set down my iPad last night. After a blissful and relaxing nights sleep, I rose before the sun so as to help my wife in the garden before the opressive heat of the sun made being outside unbearable. After breaking my fast with a generous rasher of bacon, two eggs and a piece of almost burnt toast, I picked up my iPad and discovered I had had a rollback! I was back at the beginning of the Minotaur's labyrinth at Lvl 18 (I had just dinged 19 in Egypt last night). I was a little bummed. It wasn't too much lost progress, and it's all fun to me anyway. What DID have me down was that I had gotten two really good blues on my run through the labyrinth that were also gone. A Frostmoon amulet, and a really sweet ice staff - both gone with the roll back. I just finished going thru the labyrinth again... Wait for it... I got the exact same drops. I can't be sure about the yellows, but the greens and blues were identical as the pre-rollback run. I'm in Egypt on epic, is there a way to restart the epic story without just warping back and running it again. Like if I started normal would it start over since I beat it or just be the same as when I finished it? Also I died 5 times on my normal play through and now I'm way over 20 deaths on epic, how much are you guys dying? I feel like some of the fun is gone because I'm dying so much and having to be super careful all the time. I think I'm being impatient because the epic play through is going much slower.
If you go to normal it just puts you at your last normal fountain. You can freely move between difficulties but not restart the story on the same character. The dying makes it a challenging single player journey. There is real accomplishment here. I don'tthink they poorly adapted the loot and progression for a non multiplayer game, but they just ported it over intact.
Hey guys, are there still frame rate stutters (on latest devices) as previously reported or has the recent update fixed it?
Ipad air 2 and I have some stutters, but nothing that has impacted me in a negative way. Of course, I am only on normal and level 15.
I'm on a mini 4 and I haven't noticed anything that's affected play. A few times the game has slowed to a crawl but it goes away if I restart the iPad. It only happens after I've left it on in game for days and days so I'm not surprised that it happens.
