I am only relaying the sentiments of people who have been min/maxing this game for a decade. I never played it til now. Looking at the trees, defenses best skills are the shield based ones I think. Spirit gives melee the deathchill aura which is a great rebuff for anyone near you. Rogue is also a popular DW mastery but pretty squishy like slayer.
Anyone know if this will ever get iPad 4 support? I want to play this but I also don't really want to upgrade my iPad right now either
Since even after scouring the labyrinth again, I still can't seem to find anything of note to defeat the first Megalesios, I think I'm going to just start over again. Maybe a Thane mix was not the best choice for a starter. Any suggestions on an easier class to play?
Sword and board best is conqueror, bow best is brigand or ranger, spirit and storm is a popular spellcaster. YouTube classes and see what else you might like.
At lvl47 in legendary, the mobs that kill me are any that stun. Notably the war horn from the centaur elders. I am stunned for a cool 7 seconds or so which is game over. Anything else I can run from or out heal, but those guys just ruin me. I must have lost half a level dying just to get to Athens through the end of the warcamp.
I forget, what class are you? They're tough but not instadeath for me. I'm dying a lot more to casters who I can't target. This game would be a lot more fun with the targeting capabilities of a mouse.
I just get the melee guys to chase me and do a little circle and run at the casters to target them. The casters usually only hit me once right before I get to them.
A Call to "Code-Savy" Players I've note that the loot from a Majestic Chest is never as good the second (or twentieth) time around. Indeed, often time where once sat a Majestic Chest, when revisited, one will instead find an Ornate or Quality Chest instead. I have also noted the following circumstance (which pretty specific, and difficult to duplicate): 1). I loot a placed Majestic Chest (that has a 'kill the guardian' requirement) 2). The game crashes (pretty rare now days) 3). My inventory and progression are preserved, but I loose a fair amount of the map. That is to say that there is now 'fog' over a given chunk of the map that I had explored just prior to the crash. 4). I spawn at the most recent fountain and make my way back to the M. chest I had recently looted (which is once again cover by fog) and the loot is as good as it was the first time. (Meaning that there is a blue, or at least a green in the chest) So... The supposition is that the game determines the "newness" of a chest based on wether or not it's in "fog". Combining that supposition with the demonstrated fact that one can have a "terrain revealed" roll-back, and still have the loot, stats and experience gained previously while in that re-fogged terrain leads me to believe there is an exploitable opportunity. Is it possible to delete a file that records ones progress on a map without deleting your toon? I'd be a lot more fun farming a group of chests if they fresh and shiny-new each time. Of course, I couldn't support such a practice in a multi-player game where it could be used to gain an unfair advantage over other players. In this case, it for an individual.
Interesting to say the least. I cant imagine they would dumb down the loot after opening a chest because farming spots are what these games are all about.
I couldn't actual qualify my earlier position that the loot is "dumbed down" (great term - let's stick with that). I suppose a large group of players would have run the same chest 20-30 times and compile accurate records of what was looted. There HAVE been several comments about majestic chests not being in a particular spot after repeated runs. In contrast, I have noted majestic chests in spots where there was only an ornate chest on the first run. I really hope it's all perception, and not reality, because you're dead right about farming being a staple of this genre of game.
So I am level 10 - slayer. I have puuting all my points into the skills, never realizing that I could put points into the main weapons or hunter mastery. DOH!! Should I start over? I am really behind the power curve with being able to equip weapons that are now showing up unless I use rings, beads, etc to try and boost a stat so I can equip things. On a second note, is a reasonable strategy - 2 points into the mastery and one point into a skill? And then once getting up to level say 12 or 13 start putting more into skills?
You can respec your points starting in Delphi. But you will usually want to get your mastery up all the way. Just focus on a couple skills and put points in mastery each level. Once I finished normal I had enough to max a mastery and then just fill in my used skills a little at a time. The best skills are near the top of the mastery, so its good to always put at least 1 point a level there if not 2-3. Also not sure what you mean by not having stat points to equip weapons since those points are dif than skill points and not related. I know as a ranger dex is my main stat but I had to pump a ton into strength in order to wear anything decent.
So, i was putting points into skills, so my strenth, dex, and int only went up with the 2 points that I got for the health/energy/str/dex/int. The weapons adds like 8-10 Str AND 8 dex for 1 point. So, at level 10 for a slayer, my base strength is around 85, dex is 75 and int is 54. Weapons I am seeing is like 130 -150 strength. Way above me. Thanks for the info on respec.
Holy crap I'm at the boss in the Athens catacombs and I barely hurt him and my hp disintegrates. I spend more time running around him then hitting him. Problem is I have hardly found any better loot then what I had coming into epic. I swapped a few things and lost the bonuses. Anyone know anywhere that's good for drops before Athens?
