Well I was using iCloud saves for a few weeks just fine and then people kept having issues so I turned it off. It's only important if you're changing devices. I play on my iPad at home so having it off doesn't matter. I did download TQ to my phone but have yet to play it on there.
@FuriousThumbs: I'm only using one device to play as well and haven't had a save problem yet. I did turn off iCloud just to be sure. I would just buy it if I were you. It's one of the best things to happen to iOS gaming ever! Even with the Bugs and saving issues.
Beating Scarab King Seems this critter is a bit hard for some folks, so I thought I'd share how I went about beating it... The first boss you encounter in Act II, Epic is the Scarab King in the Rhakotis Library. This is the first time that many folks understand the need for resistances (not counting Talos, who you can skip). For the Scarab King, it all about poison resist. Without it, you die. When you started epic, you may have noted that you primary base (not secondary)resists all went down a bunch (-40%). The quickest, best, and cheapest way to build your poison resist is to go to a merchant, check for any 'ol piece of cheap basic armor with SOME poison resist (head, arms, legs or chest). You likely want two pieces (for different slots, obviously). Reload and repeat as many time as necessary to get a couple pieces - note that you won't hardly ever find jewelry with poison resist from the merchants. Now, port back to the Kronoss portal in Greece (Village of Heraklieon) and go out to the area to the south east of the village. Farm "Epic Pristine Plumage" from the harpies and such. After about 15 or 20 reloads, you should have gotten the 10 necessary to apply to you two pieces. That should put you at around 80 poison resistance (which is the cap), and you can now go back and Scarab King... A lot. It's worth farming a couple time since it is now a piece of cake, and it drops a "Ridged Carapace" about 50%. That, and a majestic chest every time (still there after 30-40 runs for me) Enjoy.
Ok, dumb question time....either I was asleep and missed the tutorial text, or I have plain forgotten, but what does the little blue button with the arrows do, the one below the main attack button? Can't figure this out from trial an error, so hoping for a nice easy explanation!!
Simple! But clearly too difficult for my tired brain to work out - must be playing too much TQ! Thanks for your help
Ok so a dual wield character is my favorite style so far. My questions is what class will I be able to survive the best as a dual wield play style? Conquerer and thats it as far as survivability?
Slayer is exceptionally hard to play as a dual wield, especially on Legendary difficulty. I think that if the control where was rock solid, I'd be almost okay, but with lag and unreliable triggering of skills, my Slayer does a LOT of dying. I'm kitted out with all legendary gear and still get wrecked by casters and archers regularly. Better targeting would help a lot -- I can't count how many times I've been killed because I'm beating on some melee who's missing me instead of the caster I'm trying to hit.
On normal early play, I am wishing I was a spell caster. The better equipment either sold or dropped all has high intelligence requirements, and with Warrior and Hunter Specialties, I have to settle for second rate stuff. Does spell casting hold up in the middle and endgames? Or what are people using for success? Distribute points in your specialties only, or does one require putting points in say intelligence, even with a Warrior?
I'll add that if you're coming thru the lower levels, you'll want to keep an eye out for, and save a few pieces of choice poison resist gear - especially if you stumble upon one of the rare rings that have +50 or more poison resist. It'll save you time farming later.
I'm level 33 and I have 380 strength 229 Dex and 150 int. I've put a little into int because I had a good helmet that had an int req. generally I don't put anything into it. I'm playing a juggernaut so I will probably put more into it for the earth magic mastery.
Just started epic with my juggernaut. I'm at the mission where there is a beast man brute across the bridge and it seems like all the guys are dying real easy. The harpys do some damage if there are 3+. All my gear is crappy compared to the yellows dropping in epic but I don't want to trade the bonuses from my blues for the boost in damage. Just excited that I'm starting epic
I will suggest a spell breaker (warfare/spirit). Your spirit skills are just the deathchill aura, lich King pet and the other ancestral pet, and a skill that heals you when you almost die, forget the name. Google it to check a guide, there is a guy who has builds for every class on YouTube. Everyone says conquerer is a waste for dual wield and you are better off with a shield build there.
I just switched my Conquerer from dual wield to shield. My survivability has almost tripled, and only took a small hit on DPS. I'm literally selling health potions now instead of buying them by the truck load.
