Ipad mini 2. Playing a Soothsayer (nature/spirit) focus on fire/trunion and Liche King, summon outsider for bosses or were I need more tank. In act 3 Epic... 2 Legendary drops so far and burning through pots like crazy. Have filtered out magic items for most of the game but had to start picking them up to sell (potions get expensive!) Those tiger bow enemies tear me up. As others have said, pierce resistance becomes very important. As a caster I would agree with all that the targeting/lag can make gameplay difficult. Betting if they added a "low res" feature and "shut off creature death twitching" and alot of issues would be resolved. A few crashes here and there but still love this game and highly recommend. Hope they continue to tweak it and add the immortal throne expansion!
Weapon Speed Factors I've been trying to eyeball the effect of weapon speed and its effect on attack speed. I'm sure someone out there has the factors and can save me the pain of parsing it out. Here's what I figure: Based on a natural (unarmed) attack speed of 126, arming various weapon speeds resulted in the following: Very slow -27% (91% raw) Slow -15% (107% raw) Average -10% (112% raw) Fast 0% (128% raw) Very Fast .05% (134% raw) I tried arming and un-arming various speed weapons and doing the math, but there's just too many variables to get an accurate look. For what it's worth, I'm playing warfare Lvl 12. The only reason I really care is when considering weapons for sale by the vendor, or the occasional loot that I need to decide wether to keep until I can use it.
Epic/Egypt/Thebes/Temple of Hatshepsut... been having great luck with legendary drops from enemies (not chests). char level 48 and wondering if char level plays role in the legendary drops. Had 3 legendaries drop in about 16 runs. Also good place to level before the butt whoopin' in Orient... Maybe a hotspot for legendary drops??
I just tried to find something on google and got nothing good. I'm using an assassin duel wielding and when I use two fast swords I attack fast as hell but damage is really weak when I switch for a fast/ average combo it slows considerably and enemy health goes down more jerky. When I use two average axes I have no piercing damage and the speed is slow in comparison but the damage done is considerably more and the burst from rogue is massive with a higher damage weapon. I had gone back to fast avg for the last couple hours but am going to go back to avg axes cause it kills guys much faster even though the attack speed is slower. I def think it depends on the build you use because I can totally see how I could build my assassin so it would use the attack speed more then the damage if I used skills that had chance to hit so more hits more chances to proc sort of thing but I didn't build that way so the damage is more effective.
Soothsayer - Nature/Spirit - caster, focused on fire, Lich king as primary pet, ternion attack, summon outsider for tough tank/damage for bosses. Got my 4th legendary after the prior post... again... creature drop. now level 49.
Lvl45 Ranger in legendary just past Sparta on the way to Delphi. No remarkable drops yet, in dire need of upgrades. A problem I have is that one particular piece has a good rune on it and it's hard to replace. It's an armband, nothing crazy, but the rune on it has a big dps boost. Every time I find a replacement, it can't justify losing the rune. Combat is all stutter step shooting, dodging attacks manually and kiting. Archers will tear me up so I just have to shoot, move and potion. The targeting does not hamper me when I do this so its for the best. I will need far better gear to not keep dying and losing exp vs the tougher enemies. Satyrs, birds, insects and skeletons are ok for now.
Step back into epic and farm and gain levels/gear. Diablo II played like this too except there was multiplayer and a stash. you could actually piggyback on higher class multiplayer in Baal runs and kinda legitimately "cheat". it is a beautiful time when Mobile gaming goes from "paywall" to "playstyle"!!!!
Enough I've really been enjoying the game. I'm glad I live in a universe where I was able to play it. That said, I'm about finished with the sluggish, unresponsive controls. At the harder difficulties, when it's time to move, my control input needs to move my toon or I'm dead. When I hit the whack button, I need my whacker to whack or I'm dead. When I hit the save me skill button, I need the save me skill to fire or I'm dead... I'm dead way too much because my control inputs are ignored. I don't necessarily think this was a crumby port - I think this game just stretched the limits of mobile OS and hardware a hair too much. It might be repairable, but I think not. The developers would have to really get under the hood for a major code cleaning, and I don't think that is within their scope or expectation for this project. Well done - thanks for the fun - gimme a ring when you finish your next project.
But I want any drops that come to be better than the epic gear. I'm not sure how the drops or loot tables work. I would rather find spots to farm in legendary. I killed Typhon 5 times and got jack squat. I will find places with a boss, nearby revive stream and at least 1 majestic chest, preferably 2.
Typhon in Epic has been a loot pinata for me. I have my Typhon run to almost less than a minute (don't kill mobs, just run straight to him). I've gotten an insane amount of loot, and tons of money too.
Nice, what is your class/dps? I can run to him win some potions, the u dead guys slow me with spells. He is pretty slow to kill but not dangerous. A min you must be pretty loaded already. I have killed him about 6 times and gotten nothing. My best spot in legendary so far is the spider cave in Tegea forest where you do the poisoned water quest. There are usually 2 majestic chests and 2 ornate chests and all the spiders are not that dangerous. I grinned a whole level there to 46 and got some decent stuff, a few upgrade greens. One legend but it was an off class bone bracer, not an upgrade.
I beat normal with my assassin and started a juggernaut and holy cow the juggernaut is practically unstoppable.
He will have problems later as its a hybrid so that means you will be spreading points out all over. In my experience anyway...
I started act 1 over with s n s defense build. Just not sure how I want to spread it out for second class. Cutting through stuff like butter with shield attacks. Needs more dps.
The stat I like is movement speed. Getting the hell out of dodge is the name of the game with pretty much every pack at the higher difficulties.
Broken by latest update (1.02) Oh dear. Latest update has corrupted TQ (on iPad Pro and iPAd mini 4) - no attack button and text no longer aligns to buttons. Tried a fresh install but no help. Really some QA or testing would be of benefit - now no choice but to wait for this to be fixed.....tut tut Edit: have raised a ticket with DotEmu using the "app support" option for this in App Store. Really not good enough, how did this pass Apple QA?
