Ok, it's been two times in a row that the game crashes when I take a return portal, that's a real pain in the ***. Because when it happens, you lose the portal, so you have to get back where you were "on foot"....
Wish the update addressed control responsiveness. Still my biggest gripe -- although crashes have been more frequent lately. A floating virtual stick would be nice.
Floating vstick may be tricky considering there is a "tap-on-item-name" command. Maybe they can pull it off, maybe not. The problem i have with the controls is the ocassional "strut" where when i try to move the character stops every 2 steps before moving again repeated a few times.
So for those with iPad Air (1) that had often crashes (like me) is there any good with this update or same as before? Haven't find the time to try the update yet...
I play on iPad Air 1, it did crash from time to time, but mostly in town, now it has crashed two times while taking a return portal, and that's a pain when you make this portal far from the last fountain, as it means you'll need to backtrack a lot...
Regarding modding: Doesn't look like the ios version is moddable, as of now. Maybe I am not doing it right, but I created a mod under the PC version, and my change to a mastery showed up properly. The database appears to be different for the iOS version, so, I downloaded it, extracted it, made my change and rebuilt it. It crashes the game. For whatever reason, the rebuilt arz is smaller than the original arz. It makes me think that there is something that the art manager is missing that was added to the iOS version and it skips it or something like that. Kind of a bummer.
Hmm not good sign. At least i hope the erased saved file is terminated now because i had also this case.
How do you use cloud save ? Just lost my lvl 40 character, now she return to lvl 1. Tried restart the game without avail. I'm very close to ask for a refund. This game is good but my frustration now is so damn high that I want to freakin delete it. Took me nearly a month to build that character. Damn it
Oh damn. I lost a level 10 character and was furious. Cannot imagine losing such a big investment as yours. The cloud system is automatic so there is not something you can do manual. The devs said that if is a conflict between the cloud save and the local save an exclamation mark will appear on the menu page that will give you the option to retrieve an older save file but unfortunately in my case nothing appeared. The other advice was to deactivate Titan Quest iCloud from device settings in order to not have future similar conflicts (but this case (if works) doesn't helps the already ''infected'' ones). Just out of curiosity did you update on the new version (that says that fix iCloud problems) when you lose your character or are you still on the first one?
Yeah I already update to the latest version. That's suck thought that I can't do anything about the save file problem. You mention turn off cloud save for Titan Quest. How do you do it ?
I lost my character also. There was no "!" indication of a conflict. I started the game on my phone to see if cloud saves were working and didn't see my character come across. When I returned to my iPad the character was gone there too. To add insult to injury, could saves still aren't working at all. I updated my rating to reflect my frustration.
From the device iCloud settings Settings/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Titan Quest... But this is something that devs suggests for future problems (if it works). Cannot happen anything with this in already lost save files. The matter that you lost your character after the update makes me anxious again for long term investment on the game pfff...
Just got this a few hours ago, my wife will be mad when she finds out but it was totally worth it!! Didn't get very far on PC cause of kids but this makes it way easier.
The update changed/fixed something in the way weapon speed is calculated. My caster went from 105 attack speed to 91. Everything is the same as before, except when I add the weapon back it... Aww... He was prolly to fast anyway. Also, when auto-attacking, there is a one round delay when you kill a target and shift to the next one. So now it's " blast T1 - blast T1 - blast and kill T1 - pause - blast T2..." In fact, there's a pause on the first target as well. This has really put a damper on my conjurer damage output since I usually wade in a hold down the auto attack till everything is dead. This can be ever come to a small extent by spamming the attack button instead of just holding down. edit: actually, it seems the same pause/delay that caused one to have to spam spell buttons now applies to default attacks as well. I'm pretty disappointed. A caster/ranged should be nimble and agile enough to dance around attacks and fire off a quick blast/arrow, but the way it is now, in the time it takes to set your feet, raise your staff, and conjure your flaming marshmallows, the enemy has had time to close in and hit you two or three time, or fire two or three arrows at you. there's no way my caster and pets can tank that.
